You may already possess spiritual gifts that are dormant due to a lack of awareness of the gift itself or a lack of understanding of how to operate with this gift. In this case, you need an activation. In our context, to activate means “to set up or formally institute (as a military unit) with the necessary personnel and equipment; to put (an individual or unit) on active duty,” according to the Merriam-Webster dictionary.

While the assignment comes from God or the laying on of hands, activation comes from a charge. Jesus activated the disciples in their mission in Matthew 10:7-8:

As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

“Seer Activations” is filled with such charges, along with prayers that prime your seer pump. Mark 11:24 assures us:

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

We activate a gift by studying the Word. Romans 10:17 explains:

Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.” I like how The Passion Translation puts it: “Faith, then, is birthed in a heart that responds to God’s anointed utterance of the Anointed One.

We also activate a gift by using it. When the Lord gives you a gift, He expects you to use it. Just as you receive the assignment by faith, you must ultimately act to use the gift by faith. 2 Corinthians 5:7 tells us that we walk by faith, not by sight, but in seer dimensions, we walk by faith in sight.

The reality is that if you don’t try to see, you probably won’t. I can choose not to look at the person sitting next to me on a plane. If I choose not to look, I won’t see them. If I turn my head towards them for a split second, I will catch a glimpse. But when I choose to look with the intention of seeing, I position myself not only to see but also to notice the smallest details of their clothing, face, etc. As Paul told Timothy, you must stir yourself up. 2 Timothy 1:6 says:

For this reason, I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands.

He received the impartation, but it still needed to be activated. You can receive a car, but if you don’t activate the engine, it won’t take you anywhere. “Stir up” in the context of this verse comes from the Greek word anazopureo, which means “to kindle afresh, to ignite one’s spirit, to strengthen one’s zeal.” In other words, you need to put works with your faith. You need to go out and exercise your gift in a safe environment to build your confidence.

Enter the Company of Seers

When you associate with seers and people who can see in the spirit, you enter an atmosphere charged with the seer’s anointing. Samuel, the seer, prophesied that Saul would prophesy with the prophets and become a different person (see 1 Samuel 10:6). Shortly thereafter, Samuel’s words came to pass in 1 Samuel 10:10-11:

When they arrived at Gibeah, a procession of prophets met him; the Spirit of God came powerfully upon him, and he joined in their prophesying. When all those who had formerly known him saw him prophesying with the prophets, they asked each other, ‘What is this that has happened to the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?‘”

This didn’t happen just once. When Saul was persecuting David, he sent messengers to Samuel. They entered a prophetic whirlwind they didn’t expect. Read the account in 1 Samuel 19:18-24:

David had fled and made his escape, and he went to Samuel at Ramah and told him all that Saul had done to him. Then he and Samuel went to Naioth and stayed there. Word came to Saul: ‘David is in Naioth at Ramah’; so he sent men to capture him. But when they saw a group of prophets prophesying, with Samuel standing there as their leader, the Spirit of God came on Saul’s men, and they also prophesied. Saul was told about it, and he sent more men, and they prophesied too. Saul sent men a third time, and they also prophesied. Finally, he himself left for Ramah and went to the great cistern at Seku. And he asked, ‘Where are Samuel and David?’ ‘Over in Naioth at Ramah,’ they said. So Saul went to Naioth at Ramah. But the Spirit of God came even on him, and he walked along prophesying until he came to Naioth. He stripped off his garments, and he too prophesied in Samuel’s presence. He lay naked all that day and all that night. This is why people say, ‘Is Saul also among the prophets?‘”

Say this prayer: Father, in the name of Jesus, connect me with a company of seers and people who can see. Bring me into fellowship with people of like precious faith who understand the reality of seer dimensions and are eager to go further while avoiding error. Show me a safe place to align and connect…
