ALL GOD’S GIFTS REQUIRE FIRE.
Every gift we have ever received from God can be ignited, and it can also be extinguished. The gifts of God that come by grace cannot be taken back by God because He gives freely without wanting to reclaim. However, the devil knows something that most believers ignore: each gift of God comes with a fire that fuels it. The devil cannot take away the gifts we receive from salvation and redemption, but he can deactivate them by making us live according to the flesh. This will quench the fire and grieve the Spirit.
“And the fire on the altar shall be kept burning; it shall not go out; and the priest shall lay wood on the altar every morning, arrange the burnt offering on it, and burn the fat of the peace offerings on it. The fire shall be kept burning on the altar continually; it shall not go out.” Leviticus 6:12-13
Everyone desires gifts, anointing, and the power to cast out demons, but how many are willing to do the daily tasks to keep the fire burning endlessly? Every essence of God that we share by grace becomes powerful through fire:
“For the day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work.” 1 Corinthians 3:13
The divine nature we share in Christ—faith, hope, love, the gifts of the Holy Spirit, the callings of God—all come alive through fire. Without fire, the gifts of salvation will fail when you need them most.
THE LIFE PRESERVER OF GOD’S GIFT
“He makes His angels spirits, and His ministers a flame of fire.” Psalm 104:4
Just as beings from different realms need their native elements to survive, God’s gifts, which come from fire, must be sustained by fire. Fire is the oxygen that keeps these gifts alive. Without fire, these gifts suffocate and become inactive, leaving you vulnerable to the devil’s mockery. Although the gifts remain, they are disabled and dormant without fire. I thank God for the gifts of righteousness, the Holy Spirit, the gifts of healing, the ability to cast out demons, and to prophesy.
However, without learning to stoke the flames of these gifts, you risk becoming a castaway, a deceiver, or something even worse. Without God’s fire fueling these gifts, they can be fueled by lust, insecurity, and the desire for glory and money. If your fire goes out, immorality will replace it, and you will operate in the gifts immorally.
I believe in the baptism of fire and that God is purifying His body for the ultimate indwelling of His essence. God dwells in us according to our purification by the Holy Spirit. God is preparing to fully dwell within us. My prayer is that you may be among those qualified for this full indwelling.
May the fire of God ignite you and keep the divine gifts within you burning brightly, empowering you to fulfill your divine calling with purity and power…
