An Introduction to the Realities of Realms and Dimensions.
To provide a clear understanding of the topic of spiritual warfare, I will briefly discuss realms and dimensions. A more in-depth study will be offered in other documents. Dimensions differ from realms. A person who understands realms and dimensions will be able to expand into different energies.
The earth is a dimension and not a realm, the heavens are dimensions, and waters are dimensions within dimensions, so if I want to master the earth, I must understand the realms within the earth. Let’s take a quick look at them.
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. And the earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep. And the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters.” Genesis 1:1-2
We see three dimensions in the scripture above: the earth, the deep, and the waters. The Bible does not recognize darkness as an entity. Nothing was wrong with the waters. The common perception today is that the whole earth was covered in darkness; this is not what Scripture says. In fact, according to Scripture, the earth had no darkness. The earth was formless and void, and it was the deep that was covered by darkness.
You must learn to separate or differentiate the earth, the deep, and the waters, and see in the Bible the various substances, factors mentioned in these dimensions. The issue with the earth was formlessness and emptiness, the challenge of the deep was the darkness on its surface, and the blessing of the waters was the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God moving over the surface of the waters.
We have now established the three dimensions: the dimensions of the earth, the deep, and the waters. Darkness covered the surface of the deep. Then God brought light out of the darkness.
“For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” 2 Corinthians 4:6
Thus, at the depth of the deep was the abode of light. Darkness covered the surface of the deep, and God came and began to recreate the ancient dimension. He did not start with the earth or with the waters; He came directly to the surface of the deep and called light out of darkness, thus making light the first realm in the dimension of the deep.
Therefore, God’s creatures in the deep will only manifest when someone has created and activated the principles of light, for where there is light, God is there. Where there is light, the seven spirits of God appear. Where there is light, God’s angels appear.
But something saddens my spirit. Suddenly we realize that there were two realms found in the dimension of the deep, called darkness and light. So, God did not eliminate the darkness; He did not abolish it; rather, He brought light to it, and then gave day to the light, establishing a transaction between darkness and light.
Before God dealt with the dimension of the waters, we were told that the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, was hovering that the Spirit was not hovering over the surface of the deep, the earth was formless and empty, but the Holy Spirit began to incubate, to ponder over the surface of the waters. God came to the dimension of the waters. He said that if there were a firmament, it would become another realm that could be classified as a dimension, so the firmament is a divider of the dimensions of the waters.
“And God said, ‘Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.’ And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.” Genesis 1:6-8
This now tells you that there are heavy waters above the firmament that humans have not yet discovered. Ask scientists; they only travel in galaxies. Every galaxy they have visited is still within this firmament. Humanity has not been able to pass beyond the firmament.
If you look up the Hebrew word for firmament or heaven, it actually refers to the first layer of the galaxy. Just that cloud you see, the stars, the sky where you see the moon, and so on, is called the firmament. Between the waters below and those above is what we call the first heaven, and so in this dimension, there is a division between the waters below and those above.
Children of God, before you can reach the second heaven, you would have to leave the edge of the firmament and enter other waters whose descriptions go beyond the waters we have on earth. This is where you see spirits of different kinds. So, when people talk about marine spirits, they don’t just refer to those in the sea. There are waters above the heavens, and most of the time, these are the ones you travel to in your dreams.
With this basic foundation, let us discuss in more detail how to wage war in the realms…
