The elements of nature operate according to a well-defined and regular order. The sun rises at the same time, the sea does not overflow, the seasons are established on solid foundations, and the planets remain in their orbits as if upheld by an invisible hand.

As unbelievable as it may seem, angels are present and intervene in the interactions between the spiritual and the physical. Physical laws are governed by a spiritual order managed by these spiritual beings. This is justified by the fact that God is the master of creation.
He has established a spiritual management system that controls the entire physical system so that His will may be fully accomplished both in spiritual and physical matters.

Jesus spoke to the sea, and it listened and obeyed; Joshua spoke to the sun, and it did the same; Moses stretched out his hand toward the sea, and it parted. This suggests that there are spiritual beings who act to ensure the effectiveness and regularity of the application of the natural laws that govern these phenomena.

As a student pastor, I practiced colportage of Christian literature. During an exhibition of Christian books at an evangelistic program, it suddenly began to rain. But instead of worrying about my books, I was filled with zeal and great faith.

I pointed my finger at the large cloud above us and said, “In the name of Jesus—rain! Rain, stop!”
Suddenly, while I insisted with both hands raised, I suddenly saw a man in the center of that cloud. I then declared even more forcefully, “I command you to stop!”

The brothers in the Lord who were present and praying with me did not see this vivid vision, but they understood that my command to stop was serious and addressed to a real person. The rain stopped just as suddenly as it had begun, and we were able to continue our evangelistic program.

“After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth so that no wind would blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree.” — Revelation 7:1

“And another angel, who had authority over the fire…” — Revelation 14:18

Behind all physical phenomena, there are spiritual forces coming from specific angels who support and sustain them. It is through this means that physical things are able to obey the commands of a person invested with authority.

When Jesus spoke to the storm, He was addressing a real being who manages the physical phenomenon of the storm. Angels are those powerful beings who enable the spiritual world to control physical phenomena…
