ASSOCIATION WITH HOPEFUL PEOPLE

The Bible says: “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.” Proverbs 27:17

A great part of wisdom lies in the choice of your companions. The company you keep either strengthens or weakens your hope! Those that would be good must keep good company, and those that will be hopeful must associate with hopeful people. The company you choose moulds your mindset.

The great question you need to answer here is: Who are your friends and the people you company with? This is the best time to make necessary adjustments, if your hope must be kept alive!

Constant Fellowship

The Bible clearly states: “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together…but exhorting one another…” Hebrews 10:25

Be aware: Every time you attend Church service, you go to fellowship not only with natural beings, but with spiritual beings too. This explains why the Bible says:

But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.” Hebrews 12:22-24

In this kind of company, your hopeless situations experience a turnaround, as you exchange hopelessness for hope. The angels work on your case, the spirits of just men made perfect impart you with the kind of hope Abraham demonstrated, while awaiting the fulfilment of God’s promise.

No wonder we are admonished not to forsake fellowship (Hebrews 10:25)! It is wisdom to heed this admonition, and I seriously hope you do….
