BEWARE OF FALSE DOCTRINES!
Our era has evolved, that’s a fact. Norms are no longer what they once were, and the world has accepted this. Over time, the Church has gradually made compromises with sin as well. But what is even more disastrous is that a new doctrine is emerging and starting to circulate within the Church. This doctrine, designed to meet its needs, is winning over the hearts of many believers.
Indeed, as I write these lines, several associations and Christian communities affirm without the slightest remorse the uselessness of commitment before God, specifically marriage, in order to have intimate relations with their partners. Communities, which I will not name, unfortunately use the Word of God as the foundation of their doctrine.
Once this doctrine is well ingrained, the victim becomes fully convinced and deliberately chooses to give in to immoral practices. The weapon of this new ideology rests on its goodwill in encouraging us to pray, worship God, while still yielding to the flesh. Moreover, what could be more relieving for a young person than knowing they can freely follow their hormonal instincts without having to bear the moral debt that comes with it?
If a weak soul, recently converted, is not careful about the teachings they allow themselves to listen to, the probability of being deceived is quite high. Our flesh is naturally vulnerable to sin. Let’s be honest, every young Christian who is genuinely converted fights daily against immorality and its carnal desires.
Then comes this ready-made doctrine, which solemnly declares that all this is unnecessary. That one can inherit salvation without living a sanctified life as it is already written! As always, the devil lays his traps with the argument of the easy path! And he does so using the Bible as a weapon of persuasion. It is very likely that if the victim does not seek a spirit of discernment, their fall is only a matter of time. The Bible predicted it:
“The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons” 1 Timothy 4:1.
“See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ” Colossians 2:8.
God’s Word is clear on this subject. Since the world is already overwhelmed by sin, even including some members of the Church, resisting such doctrines is no easy task. Satan uses our vulnerability to the flesh as bait to spread his false doctrine. And there’s no need to remind us that such a theory will always attract crowds, as it grants individuals the freedom to live as they please, without being accountable to the internal guilt it generates.
Nevertheless, if God’s Word is truly rooted in us and we cherish it as a hidden treasure in our field, the devil can do nothing against us. The best course for all of us would be to maintain our communion with the Holy Spirit, who will provide us with the right revelation for each new trend, and to use the Word as our compass, taking it as our daily bread.
Indeed, the Holy Spirit will grant us the necessary wisdom to discern correctly. The idea is to warn all Christians that false doctrines are not just a myth or a plague of past centuries. They are real and they devastate. As the apostles carefully predicted, these are indeed the signs of the end times. Being aware of this scourge can prevent many souls from being led astray…
