Blood is a red fluid that circulates within blood vessels (arteries, veins) and permeates the entire body, carrying nutrients and oxygen. It is also a vital organ that plays a crucial role in the human body. There is no life without blood; it is a heritage.

Blood is of great importance to a human’s body. Blood is life, and a person can be on the verge of death when losing all their blood. Blood is also the vehicle of life, serving as the body’s fuel, enabling the heart to function, and comprising a significant part of the human body, approximately 90% in water (blood).

From a spiritual perspective, blood is the life force that dictates and shapes our daily existence on Earth. The soul resides in the blood and is the seat of our intelligence, feelings, will, character, and emotions. The idolatrous practices of our forebears have imprinted demonic patterns in our blood, passed down through the bloodline. We were formed from the seed of our father and mother.

According to biologists, the father contributes twenty-three chromosomes, and the mother also contributes twenty-three chromosomes to their children. These chromosomes contain genes that carry genetic information. Therefore, it is likely that your DNA bears the genes of both your father and mother’s seed. DNA provides the necessary information as an individual. Let’s read Leviticus 17:11,

For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it for you on the altar to make atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that makes atonement by the life.”

As mentioned earlier, the soul is in the blood. This text reveals the importance of blood. Without blood, there is no soul, and without the soul, there is no blood. The soul contains feelings, emotions, character, will, and intelligence. Therefore, your blood is the blood of your father and mother. All the diseases, limitations, and ties of your parents will become yours. Blood then becomes an inheritance that we pass on to our descendants. Blood is an inheritance! What is an inheritance?

An inheritance is property or assets left by a deceased person through succession. Succession is everything passed down from one generation to the next or future generations. Humans on Earth have two types of lives: physical (material) life and spiritual (immaterial) life.

Based on these two realities, we inherit two legacies from our parents: a natural inheritance and a spiritual inheritance. We will focus on the spiritual inheritance that our ancestors have given us. Just as we inherit a physical or material legacy from our parents, we must understand that we also inherit a spiritual legacy from them, regardless of our will. Our parents also inherited material and spiritual assets from their ancestors.

For example, a disease can be an inheritance that is passed from generation to generation through blood ties. Your ancestor had this disease or issue, and they passed it on to your father, who, in turn, passed it on to you.

Through the principle of blood transfer, many families have inherited negative spiritual legacies from their ancestors. The blood of these ancestors may carry certain diseases, blockages, limitations, poverty, and family spirits due to idolatry or involvement in magic, occultism, witchcraft, and the occult sciences at some point.

Idolatry or other practices open the door to divine judgments and spirits within a family lineage. Your blood is the blood of your father and mother. You may experience blockages and suffering due to your blood.

In David’s time, there was a famine that lasted three years. David sought the face of the Lord, and the Lord said: “It is because of Saul and his bloody house, because he killed the Gibeonites” (2 Samuel 21:1). This passage speaks of a famine during David’s time due to Saul. It shows that one person can suffer because of the wrongdoings of another person. That is, your blood can experience curses due to the mistakes of your ancestors. We are the product of programming received through blood ties, and this blood shapes our present and future. A person will live based on what was recorded in their blood.

Therefore, know that we have inherited both good and bad legacies from our ancestors, which condition our lives. These malevolent legacies written in our blood include curses, addictions, character flaws like anger, grudges, pride, poverty, sexual perversion, alcoholism, and marital instability. When God sees you, He sees your parents and your ancestors because you have inherited their vain way of life.

Knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot (1 Peter 1:18-19).

The Bible tells us that Levi paid tithes when Melchizedek met Abraham. But how did he pay them when he was not yet born? The Bible tells us that he paid them while still in the loins of his father, included in that act because his ancestor of the fourth generation did it.

Even Levi, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham, so to speak, for he was still in the loins of his ancestor when Melchizedek met him (Hebrews 7:9-10).

God punishes the iniquity of fathers on their children through blood when your ancestors engage in obscure practices, their blood becomes subject to certain demonic realities that are passed down to their children through blood. So, they bear the consequences of their actions because they are connected to their parents’ blood. It should be noted that some of our natural and spiritual battles and problems did not start with us but are rooted in our family history and have been transmitted from generation to generation through blood ties.

What characterizes a family is the blood, and each blood tells its own story. The generational story of two families is different. The problems in your family are not the same problems as other people’s families. Therefore, when you understand the realities of your family, you should not take your Christian life lightly. You should not follow the trend; you should lead a pious Christian life.

You should have a life of constant prayer and fasting, daily meditation on God’s word, a life of purity, and address your foundations or your blood through prayer. Generational curses are in the blood and are negative realities that are similar in the lives of family members.

Know that everything in the life of your father or mother is found in your life. You can change the order of things by asking the Holy Spirit to reprogram your blood according to the divine pattern of creation. It is essential to address your blood through prayer to break free from inherited realities.

Behold, everyone who quotes proverbs will use this proverb about you: ‘Like mother, like daughter.’ You are the daughter of your mother, who loathed her husband and her children; and you are the sister of your sisters, who loathed their husbands and their children. Your mother was a Hittite, and your father an Amorite” (Ezekiel 16:44-45).

This passage establishes a principle, the law of blood. It is a spiritual law that dictates that what is in the parents’ lives will automatically be in the lives of their children. This is why the proverb says, “Like mother, like daughter.” Through this passage, it must also be understood that this is not something over which you have the power to decide.

It is a reality applied to you whether you want it or not because the blood flowing in you comes from your ancestors. If the blood within you is cursed, you cannot succeed, build good things, or grasp God’s blessings. If there are curses within you that have not been broken, they will catch up with you sooner or later.
