David Jeremiah is an American evangelical Christian author, founder of Turning Point Radio and Television Ministries, and senior pastor of Shadow Mountain Community Church, a Southern Baptist megachurch located in El Cajon, California, a suburb of San Diego.

David Paul Jeremiah was born in Toledo, Ohio, in 1941, to Ruby and James T. Jeremiah. At the age of eleven, her family, which also included her three siblings, moved to Dayton, Ohio, when her father became the pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Then in 1953, the family moved to Cedarville, Ohio, when his father became the new president of Cedarville College (now Cedarville University).

Jeremiah received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Cedarville College in 1963, and that same year he married his college sweetheart, Donna Thompson. He then earned a master’s degree in theology at Dallas Theological Seminary (1967) and did further graduate work at Grace Seminary (1972). Cedarville awarded him an honorary doctorate of divinity in 1981.

In 1969, Jeremiah founded Blackhawk Baptist Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Blackhawk Christian School in 1973. That same year, he also developed and launched The Bible Hour, gaining experience using television media to share the Gospel. During the 12 years he served as senior pastor at Blackhawk, the congregation grew from seven families to 1,300 members.

In 1981, the Jeremiah family, now numbering four children, moved to Southern California, where David Jeremiah succeeded Tim LaHaye as senior pastor of Scott Memorial Baptist Church (now Shadow Mountain Community Church).[3 ]. Under the leadership of David Jeremiah, the church affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention and expanded to nine satellite sites including Hispanic and Arab congregations. The church’s main campus became the home of Southern California Seminary and Christian Unified Schools, a K-12 Christian school district.

In 1982, Jeremiah founded Turning Point for God, a multimedia outreach ministry. With a mission to deliver God’s unchanging Word to an ever-changing world, Turning Point’s radio and television program began with local influence, grew to national influence through television in 2000, and is has since become an international leader in the world of broadcast ministry. Jeremiah has won numerous awards over the years through the Turning Point program, including the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) Hall of Fame Award and the NRB President’s Award in 2020.

In 1994, then in 1998, Jeremiah learned that he had lymphoma. In 1999, a nodule was removed from his neck and he underwent a stem cell transplant. His account of his experiences during this period is recorded in his book, When Your World Falls Apart.

In addition to pastoring Shadow Mountain Community Church and directing Turning Point for God, Jeremiah is an author and frequent speaker at conferences, conventions and universities, as well as professional basketball team chapels. ball and football.

David and Donna Jeremiah have four adult children and are the grandparents of twelve grandchildren. Jeremiah’s eldest son, David Michael, is the president of Turning Point and the presenter of the radio show.   • Les Agents de l’Apocalypse (Un regard captivant sur les acteurs clés de la fin des temps)

    L’auteur du livre relate les événements de la fin des temps sous un angle différent. Ce n’est pas une description chronologique des événements qui est faite. L’accent est mis sur les acteurs de l’apocalypse. Ces acteurs peuvent être répartis en deux groupes : ceux du camp de Dieu et ceux appartenant au malin.

    Les acteurs faisant la volonté de Dieu sont un certain nombre. D’abord celui qui a reçu la révélation : Jean ; il a été banni très loin sur l’ île de Patmos. C’est là-bas justement que Dieu lui donne la révélation, et il s’est mis à l’écrire. C’est donc un livre prophétique que l’apôtre de Jésus écrira. D’ailleurs, clairement dans ce livre de révélations on peut lire « ce qui doit arriver ».

    Jean n’est pas le seul acteur du livre des révélations. Il y a aussi les martyrs. Ces derniers ne s’inscrivent pas dans l’ère de l’église. Au fond, il faut d’abord que l’enlèvement de l’église ait lieu, que les morts en Christ soient ressuscités. En réalité, les martyrs sont des fidèles qui auront été tués au cours de la tribulation.

    L’apocalypse parle également des acteurs destructeurs. Le premier et le principal d’entre eux est Satan lui-même. Il est présenté comme : un grand signe, un grand dragon rouge feu, une grande fureur et les deux ailes d’un grand aigle.

    Un autre personnage maléfique fera son apparition : la bête qui monte de la mer. Cette bête est aussi appelée : l’Antéchrist.

    Enfin, la bête qui monte de la terre fera également partie des acteurs maléfiques. Il sera un chef religieux, particulièrement un faux prophète. Il aura l’aspect d’un agneau car il paraîtra doux et humble, mais en réalité ce sera un pur mensonge. Derrière l’agneau se cachera un dragon, un manipulateur et trompeur des foules.
