1- Manifestation of Evil Forces

A reading of Revelation Chapter 13 reveals the modus operandi of God’s adversaries.

“And I saw one of its heads as if it had been fatally wounded; but its fatal wound was healed. And the whole earth was amazed and followed the beast. They worshiped the dragon because he gave authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, ‘Who is like the beast, and who can wage war against it?’ It was also given a mouth speaking arrogant words and blasphemies, and authority to act for forty-two months was given to it. And it opened its mouth to utter blasphemies against God, to blaspheme His name and His dwelling—those who dwell in heaven.” (Revelation 13:3-7)

“Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and it had two horns like a lamb, but it spoke as a dragon. It exercises all the authority of the first beast in its presence, and it makes the earth and those who live on it worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed. It performs great signs, so that it even makes fire come down out of the sky to the earth in the presence of people. And it deceives those who live on the earth because of the signs it was given to perform in the presence of the beast, telling those who live on the earth to make an image of the beast who had the sword wound and has come to life.“ (Revelation 13:11-14)

The final battle will be terrible! On the world stage, we will witness a confrontation of powers. The enemy of our souls will stop at nothing to rally as many as possible to his cause. He will use the following three tactics to achieve his ends:

1. Attracting Attention
   The enemy will perform acts to captivate people. Many will be seduced due to a lack of knowledge, faith in Jesus Christ, and discernment.

Three Characteristics of the Enemy’s Acts in the End Times:

The acts carried out by God’s adversary should not be underestimated because they:

• Inspire Admiration:
  “And I saw one of its heads as if it had been fatally wounded; but its fatal wound was healed. And the whole earth was amazed and followed the beast.“ (Revelation 13:3)
• Incite Worship:
  “They worshiped the dragon because he gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, ‘Who is like the beast, and who can wage war against it?‘” (Revelation 13:4)
• Deceive:
  “And it deceives those who live on the earth because of the signs it was given to perform in the presence of the beast (…).“ (Revelation 13:14)

As you can see, miracles and signs will serve to dazzle those seeking God. They will believe they are witnessing God’s actions… How tragic! Seek a relationship with the Holy Spirit while there is still time, so as not to join the ranks of those misled by occult powers.

In response to this situation, God will not remain inactive. He will place His prophets in opposition to the forces of darkness.

2- Manifestation of Divine Power

In any war, two opposing camps confront each other. God will act. Through His two witnesses, He will also demonstrate His power in the end times.

“I will grant authority to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth. If anyone wants to harm them, fire flows out of their mouth and devours their enemies; and if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this way. They have the power to shut up the sky so that rain will not fall during the days of their prophesying, and they have power over the waters to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with every plague, as often as they desire.“ (Revelation 11:3-6)

As you continue reading, pay attention to the word “testimony” (Revelation 11:7). We learn that God’s wonders aim to testify to His existence and power. This testimony is what the enemy seeks to combat by imitating God to create confusion in the world. The goal is to replace God in the hearts of men, making them believe he is God himself.

The Bible thus describes what will happen in the end times. Two opposing groups will perform great miracles and astounding acts. The events of the end are already set. They will be filled with spiritual acts. Everyone must immerse themselves in reading the Bible to understand that God is prophetic and has always used prophetic acts to manifest His great power and superiority over His legendary enemy.
