Some people believe that churches must start as small groups before growing. This is a common thought. I started the World Miracle Church in Tamale with a crusade.

Before we arrived in the city of Accra in 1994, I was in prayer in New York when God told me to begin the church in Accra with a monthly miracle service. This strategy grew the church from 70 to 3,000 people in one year. We followed this strategy for three years, and the church became a record-breaking example of growth in the city.

This strategy, which God gave me during prayer, is largely responsible for the church explosion we experienced in Accra. The cell group system is a good method, and I would have liked to try it. But in prayer, God gave me different strategies. Strategies differ from one ministry to another. However, you must be led by God. The fact that a miracle service worked for me does not mean it will work for others.

Every minister must learn through prayer what God wants them to do and then align with it. Prayer is essential, but when God says, “Stand on your knees,” you must rise and act. You must get up and move…
