Here is another way to break the power of sin and the spirits that control it over your life and destiny.

For you have not received a spirit of bondage again to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry out, Abba, Father.” Romans 8:15

The Spirit of adoption is a forgotten treasure in the Church today. It is the Spirit that says to God: ‘Father, this is not beyond You! This is not greater than You! You can do it, Father.’ It is the Spirit that was at work in Jesus on the cross when He cried: “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” which means, My Father, My Father, why have You forsaken Me? (Matthew 27:46). Surely, the Father responded: ‘No! There is a pre-established plan. I will bring You out of this, Son.’ And He did!

Satan can no longer force you to do something against your will because the Spirit of adoption is alive within you. I urge you to invoke the Spirit of adoption right now, for your total and absolute freedom. When you invoke the Spirit of adoption, you are essentially saying to Satan: ‘I will show you whose son I am!’

Now, call upon the Spirit of adoption and say to your Father: Abba, Father! This Pharaoh is not stronger than You! This depression that comes and goes, Abba Father! This addiction to evil, Abba Father! These urges I can’t control, Abba Father!

The spirit of bondage will always yield to the Spirit of adoption. Therefore, I want you to particularly target one area of your life that has troubled you until now and cry out: ‘Abba, Father!’

One day, the devil came at me with a violent attack. But I told him: ‘Satan, look carefully. I will show you whose son I am.’ That is the Spirit of adoption, the one that cries out Abba Father! Haven’t You fully paid the price for my redemption? Abba Father! This is not my will. Why would someone else control me? Abba Father!

When the spirit of adoption (so to speak) came upon the prodigal son, he said: I will return to my father. Hear: “Save me from this state of decay.” That is what it means to cry “Abba Father!”

Let us return to this forgotten treasure, for it is the precious gift of the Father to His precious children, for a life of continual triumph on earth. Deliverance will always respond to the heart’s cry: ‘Abba Father!’

Engage the Fatal Weapon of the Blood

A brother was delivered from drug addiction after reading one of my books, The Triumph of the Blood. He later said that whenever the overwhelming urge to use drugs came, he would simply cry out: ‘The Blood of Jesus!’ and the urge would pass.

Dear friends, when you are upheld by the blood of the Covenant, you become indestructible and unshakable in your fight against sin! You become a terror to the devil. You just need to make a choice, to take a firm stand against sin and injustice. The blood is our mystery of purging. Paul said in 1 Corinthians 5:7:

Purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.

Everything that requires total purging is eradicated when you take the blood of Jesus through Holy Communion, the sprinkling of the blood, or when you invoke it for special help. The blood of Jesus is the greatest remedy against sin. It is your way out of the corruption of sin.

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace, which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself.” Ephesians 1:7-9

We can and must engage the weapon of the blood to enter into the perfect will of God. He intended it this way. The blood is our access to the world of purity.

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.” Romans 5:8-10
