DISCOVER YOUR CALLING.
… It is so important for you to discover why He created you. We are all members of the body of Christ, but we do not have the same functions. The Lord does not assign collective functions. The task you must accomplish in the Kingdom is personal, and you must fulfill it. Imagine that even with billions of people on this earth, there are not two people exactly like you. You are the only person who truly resembles you; your fingerprint is unique.
Your spiritual leader, even if he has a particular calling, that does not mean that this calling is automatically assigned to all the members of the congregation. Nevertheless, we work for the same purpose: that the Gospel may spread to the ends of the earth. Let’s read the words of the Apostle Paul:
“There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.” (1 Corinthians 12:5-7)
It should be emphasized that your gift determines the path in which you will serve the Lord. The gift is not necessarily what the world sees, but rather what the Lord has placed in you for His work. Your calling is linked to your gift.
In the parable of the three servants in Luke 19, the Master shows us that there will be a day when the Lord will ask us to give an account. Let’s read what the Bible says in verse 15: “He was made king, however, and returned home. Then he sent for the servants to whom he had given the money, in order to find out what they had gained with it.” The third servant, not having achieved the expected result, began to offer excuses:
“Then another servant came and said, ‘Sir, here is your gold coin; I have kept it laid away in a piece of cloth. I was afraid of you because you are a hard man. You take out what you did not put in and reap what you did not sow.’”
The Master’s response is quite instructive:
“His master replied, ‘I will judge you by your own words, you wicked servant! You knew, did you, that I am a hard man, taking out what I did not put in and reaping what I did not sow? Why then didn’t you put my money on deposit, so that when I came back, I could have collected it with interest?’ Then he said to those standing by, ‘Take his gold coin away from him and give it to the one who has ten coins.’” (Luke 19:20-24)
In conclusion, there is a calling related to your life, your finances, your studies, etc., and you must discover it at all costs. We will study the story of the Jewess Esther. Queen or Savior? Did God just call her to be Queen, or was there a divine purpose attached to her promotion? Did God create her to become queen in a foreign land or rather to be used as a savior for the remaining Jewish people in captivity?
The Lord will enlighten us in the continuation of this study. Amen!!!
