DO NOT LOVE IT, BUT RESPECT IT.
KEY VERSE: “Zebulun shall dwell by the seashore; he shall be a haven for ships, and his border shall extend toward Sidon.” (Genesis 49:13 KJV)
When I was a child, my father often said, “Money is a good servant but a bad master.” In other words, if you serve money, it will destroy you. But if you make it your servant, it will serve you.
One day, the Lord told me something that shocked me. He said: “Greg, you can never have what you do not respect.” If you do not respect your marriage, you will not have a marriage. If you respect it, it will do wonders for you.
Unfortunately, most believers do not show proper respect for money. If you do not respect your job, you will never keep one. If you do not respect your education, you will never earn a degree. If you do not respect your friends, you will not have lasting friendships. Likewise, if you do not respect money, you will never prosper. Despising money is condemning yourself to a life of misery.
“The voice spoke to him a second time: ‘Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.’“ (Acts 10:15)
Respecting money also means using it wisely. Bad spending habits, such as impulsive purchases or living beyond one’s means, are ways of pushing money away. Respecting money means creating a budget and sticking to it, prioritizing essential expenses, and setting financial goals. Understanding the value of money and how to manage it responsibly is crucial to respecting it.

Father God, thank You for my daily provision. Help me to depend on You daily for my prosperity, in the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. Amen.
