Effective and Fervent Seers.
What is this power? One of Merriam-Webster’s definitions of power is “the ability to act or produce an effect.” Power seers understand that they do not see by their own power or might they cannot choose to see at will but it is by the Spirit of God that they see. Power seers will have dreams and visions that bring about change through calls to intercession.
God Himself will authorize powerful seers with legal rights to access places in the seer dimensions where mysteries and revelations are disclosed for His purposes. I write more about these dimensions in my book, The Seer Dimensions.
Power seers who remain connected to the Source of all power will speak words of life that come from His heart. Powerful seers understand, like David, “God is my strength and power…” (2 Samuel 22:33). They know that God has given believers a spirit of power, but also a spirit of love and self-discipline, and they will not exceed legal boundaries in the seer dimensions (see 2 Timothy 1:7). Power seers will discern and combat demonic forces that oppose them but will stand on Luke 10:19:
“Behold, I give you the power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
Powerful seers will stand strong in the Lord and in the power of His might (see Ephesians 6:10) and will understand the power that works within them through contemplation, meditation, and revelation (see Ephesians 3:20). (You can learn more about these aspects in my book, Seer Activations.) Powerful seers will model their ministry after the seeing Christ. Acts 10:38 is a key scripture:
“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”
Power seers will choose to engage in deliverance ministry if necessary to see captives set free. Power seers will gain strength and prophetic perspective by waiting on the Lord. Isaiah 40:29-31:
“He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”
Power seers will resist the temptation to put their faith in their own wisdom but will choose instead to rely on the power of God (see 1 Corinthians 2:5). Powerful seers will continually seek the Lord, His strength, and His presence (see 1 Chronicles 16:11). Power seers will keep in mind David’s words in Psalm 62:11:
“God has spoken once, twice I have heard this: that power belongs to God.”
God wants to demonstrate His power through you and will show consecrated seers powerful visions of epic proportions. While visions and inner images have characterized much of the prophetic movement since the 1980s, those who prove faithful and obedient will see their eyes opened to visual revelation reminiscent of the spectacular visions in the Bible.
The Cost of Entry
Of course, there is a price to walk in seer power. But many will be willing to dedicate their eyes after supernatural encounters with God compel them to radically sell out and seal their eyes. Many will have Isaiah 6 encounters that will lead them to confess their sin and cry out for holiness that will purge, purify, and position them to walk in power and authority in their generation.
When God called me to the prophetic ministry, He said many things to my heart. One of the things He told me was to “count the costs and not look back.”
A few years later, the Lord asked me if I was willing to pay the price to do what He had called me to do. I quickly answered, “Yes, Lord. I am ready.” After all, I had already counted the costs when He called me or so I thought. The Lord rebuked me: “Do not answer too quickly. Consider the costs.” With that, I went away to pray. After about a week, I returned to the Lord with a solid answer: “Yes, Lord, I am ready to pay the price.” I felt the Holy Spirit’s pleasure at my sincere response, but I never anticipated what He would say next: “It will be a very high price.”
Before too long, I began to pay the price and indeed, a high price it was. Thank God that in His wisdom and mercy, He shows us things to come if we have eyes to see and ears to hear the truth to which the Holy Spirit leads us. If He had not warned me about what was to come through that single line, “It will be a very high price,” I would have been devastated by what happened next.
You see, I was in a spiritually abusive church at the time, but I didn’t realize it was abusive. Not really. I saw how others were mistreated, but I didn’t recognize it as spiritual abuse. Because I was always celebrated in that church, I thought these others must be doing something incredibly wrong to be treated so horribly. I was deceived.
When the Lord finally opened my eyes to what was happening there when the leaders turned against me and I became a victim of the spiritual abuse I had witnessed for so long I had two choices. I could stay and endure emotional abuse, or I could leave and suffer the verbal persecution of those who still believed in the situation.
Eventually, I chose the latter. And as painful as it was at the time, I am so glad I did. It was not easy. It was very costly, in fact. It was part of that “high price” the Lord spoke of. I lost all the friends I had. I lost every public ministry opportunity I enjoyed. I lost my front-row seat, my titles, my spiritual parents, I lost everything.
However, God rewards those who diligently seek Him (see Hebrews 11:6). Vengeance is truly His responsibility, and He will indeed repay evil for good (see Romans 12:19). I paid a high price, but God has repaid me far more than seven times what the thief stole (see Proverbs 6:31). I will always remember this lesson, and it will serve me well in another season of my life…
