I call them that because they are actually spiritual encounters, but they take place on the platform of dreams. I particularly like them because they are highly spiritual and are often divine or angelic visitations.

Then God appeared to Abimelech in a dream by night and said to him, ‘Behold, you shall surely die because of the woman you have taken away, for she has a husband.’” Genesis 20:3

He had a dream. And behold, a ladder was set on the earth, and its top reached to heaven. And behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on the ladder. And behold, the Lord was standing above it…” Genesis 28:12-13

And the angel of God said to me in a dream, ‘Jacob!’ And I said, ‘Here I am!” » Genesis 31:11

While he was thinking on this, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, ‘Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.‘” Matthew 1:20

Dreams are the primary platform for divine and even angelic visitation. Many who have received great visitations from God have received them, for the most part, through dreams. The Lord has graced me to receive visitations from our Lord three times. The first two times, it was through dreams, even though it ended with another type of vision, but it began and continued through dreams. Consider this text from Numbers 12:6

And he said, ‘Listen now to my words!’ If there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, will reveal myself to him in a vision and will speak to him in a dream.

If you truly read it, you will realize that this is not a simple dream or a mysterious dream, but a dream of encounter. For he contrasts this with the following verse, which says that he spoke face to face with Moses. That is, he did not need a dream to encounter God.

You must learn today to no longer neglect your dreams, because through them you will even be able to see God.

How to induce dreams of encounter?

Dreams of encounter are not just dreams, but also a whole dimension in the spiritual world that you may or may not have access to. It is true that everything flows from the sovereignty of God, who grants grace and mercy to whomever He wills, but it is possible to attract certain spiritual realities to you to bring you into a new dimension.

  • Connection to the Covenants

In the texts of Genesis and Matthew cited above, you will realize that each of the people who experienced a dream of encounter was actually connected to another person because of whom this visitation was brought about.

God appeared to Abimelech because of Abraham and Sarah’s presence in his home. God appeared to Jacob because of the blessing he had just received from Isaac, who had also received it from Abraham. The angel appeared to Joseph because of Jesus, who was in the womb of his betrothed Mary. I’m trying to explain to you that it is sometimes important to connect with certain people who have a special alliance with the Lord and who can be a gateway for you to move on to the next dimension of divine or angelic visitations. Look at this text about Hagar:

When the water in the skin was used up, she left the child under one of the bushes and sat opposite it, about a bowshot away. For she was saying, ‘Let me not see my child die!’ So she sat opposite it and raised her voice and wept. God heard the child’s voice. The angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and said to her, ‘What is the matter? Do not be afraid, for God has heard the child’s voice where he is.‘” » Genesis 21:15-17

The Bible clearly states that it was Hagar who raised her voice and wept, but it was not her voice that was heard by God. Why? Because Hagar simply had no covenant with God, but her child bore the blood of Abraham, who was a spiritual man in covenant with God and who had experienced several visitations. The mystery of the covenants is great, but unfortunately, that is not the subject of this book.

  • The Sacrifices

The king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there, for it was the chief of the high places. Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings on the altar. At Gibeon, the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night, and God said to him, ‘Ask what I shall give you.’ Solomon replied, ‘You have shown great kindness to your servant David my father…’

This request of Solomon pleased the Lord. And God said to him, “Because you have asked this, and have not asked for yourself long life, riches, or the death of your enemies, but have asked for understanding to do justice,…” 1 Kings 3:4-6…10-11

It is easy to see here that God appears to Solomon just after a very large offering or sacrifice. For offerings and sacrifices provoke heaven and draw towards us dimensions to which we previously had no access, including those of dream encounters. You must learn to make sacrifices and offerings in the presence of God; these will shake up heaven in your favor.

  • The Maturity of Your Mind

Have you noticed the ease with which Solomon is able to speak to God and even negotiate in the midst of a dream while everything is happening in his mind? He seems to have mastery over his dream and not to be completely disoriented and out of control. This is because, contrary to what many believe, Solomon was a highly spiritual man, and his father David had certainly taught him spiritual matters.

Remember that later, he was even able to call down fire through his prayer, like Elijah (1 Kings 8). As I said earlier, the maturity of your spirit is what will determine how you manage and approach your dreams.

Many have received dreams of encounters but have never truly benefited from them, like Jacob at Bethel, who sees and hears but doesn’t know how to interact because he was still, as one might say, a “spiritual baby.”
And here again, you will see Solomon in this dream refer to his father David because he is aware that he has no alliance, but David does.

I pray in the mighty name of Jesus that heaven may be opened upon your dreams so that they may no longer be moments of confusion but rather a platform where you may encounter and commune with our Lord Jesus Christ!
