Entering Into The Presence of God Through The Word of God.
Reading the Bible in a way that seeks and understands God’s thoughts for our lives is a key to entering into the presence of God. In addition to reading the Bible, meditating on the Word of God allows us to enter into God’s presence. Indeed, it enables us to internalize the Word of God, to make it a part of us. Reading the Word of God and rereading it, singing it, declaring it with faith, pondering it throughout the day. In short, making it our own until the Word of God becomes flesh within us.
Finally, there is listening to the Word of God which allows us to enter into the presence of God. Whether it’s when we declare it ourselves, or when it’s preached to us, listening to the Word of God calls us into God’s presence.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. It was in the beginning with God.” John 1:1-2
Loving the Word of God as we would have loved the Lord Jesus in person as if He were among us. But for this, we must believe in His presence. Reading and listening to the Word of God allow us to enter into the presence of God. It’s not just listening to the reading of the Bible, but also how we receive the preaching of the Word of God.
“For this reason, we also constantly thank God that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but for what it really is, the word of God, which also performs its work in you who believe.” 1 Thessalonians 2:13
By taking the preaching of the Word of God seriously and receiving it as the Word of God and not as the word of man, we can enter into the presence of God. One day, a woman went to a hair salon where they were listening to one of my sermons entitled “Being present in the presence of God.” This woman went there for hair care, and upon hearing a declaration I made in this sermon, namely, “The presence of God makes one productive and breaks sterility,” she was deeply touched. For she was in her ninth year of marriage and still had no child. She received this declaration as a word that God Himself was addressing directly to her, and through this sermon, she entered into the presence of God and received her miracle.
She didn’t know me, but she received my sermon as the Word of God. The following year, she sought to see me personally to show me her miracle baby, to testify to what God had done for her through listening to the sermon. She wasn’t alone in that hair salon, but she was the only one to receive her miracle because she received the sermon as the Word of God.
You too, by reading this book, can enter into the presence of God and receive your miracle. It’s up to you to decide, because the ball is in your court!
One day, as I was “working” the Word of God at home, I received a visit from a young servant of God. He complained of suffering from a supposedly serious illness for which the treatment was expensive. After hearing his problem, I placed my hand on his shoulder without saying anything. A few minutes of silence passed, and I said to him, “Go, you are healed.” He left totally disappointed, as he expected from me a very long and very loud prayer. When he returned home and was taking a shower before going to bed, he realized that he was completely healed. He came back the next day to repent of his doubt and admitted that he had been disappointed by my way of praying, which he deemed indifferent. Because he believed that I had not taken his case seriously and that I had offered a careless prayer.
I told him that he had come at the right time because I was present in the presence of God through the study of the Word of God. That’s why I didn’t offer a very long prayer; instead, I had drawn his miracle from the presence of God. It’s a matter of faith in the presence of God…
