Remember, Jesus created this world. The Bible says that without Him, nothing was made that has been made (John 1:3). There was nothing in this world system that was not subject to Jesus. He exercised dominion over all things. He tamed them with His words—words filled with faith!

He spoke to broken limbs, corpses, deaf ears, blind eyes, crippled bodies, demons of darkness, fish, and trees, and they obeyed Him. He subdued the laws of nature and transcended them. He was never a victim. He walked on water, spoke to the wind, and calmed the storm! When He encountered the leper and said, “Be clean!” the leprosy vanished.

He knew who He was! He was never afraid of anything. Everyone marveled at Him when He spoke. He never hesitated to declare His identity. He said, “I and my Father are one” (John 10:30); He walked in union with the Father.

Just like Jesus, the words we speak are spirit, and they are life (John 6:63). This means our words are not empty or meaningless. They are powerful; they have the ability to conquer, overcome, and dominate demons, adversities, and all negative circumstances in life. That’s why it is so important for us to speak like Jesus, releasing words filled with faith. No wonder John exclaimed:

This is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith” (1 John 5:4).

Our faith is the victory that overcomes the world. Our faith has supernatural power to conquer, tame, and subdue the world. Hebrews 11 provides us with a catalog of believers—great men and women—who subdued and tamed their world by faith:

And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and the prophets, who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, gained what was promised, shut the mouths of lions, quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies” (Hebrews 11:32–34).

Paul paints a picture of how these men mastered and conquered their world through faith. Biblical history recounts that John, the beloved apostle, during the great persecution of the Church, was covered in a cauldron of boiling oil and left for dead. But when all the oil had burned, they opened the cauldron and were shocked to find John still alive. I believe he must have pointed at them and said, “Whatever is born of God overcomes the world!

Have you heard about Samson? He tore a lion apart with his bare hands. David did the same. And Daniel? He was thrown into the lions’ den, and guess what he did? He didn’t think of killing the lions—he tamed them! Then he sat with them and laid his hands on them. I’m showing you how some of the people in our lineage of faith mastered their world! They dominated and conquered their world to the extent that the world was no longer worthy of them (Hebrews 11:38).

Through their faith, they completely overcame this physical world to the point where they could no longer remain here. Men like Enoch, of whom the Bible says: “…he walked with God, and he was not, for God took him” (Genesis 5:24). This doesn’t mean God took his life or that he died but that he walked by faith and subdued this world to the extent that he was literally translated from earth to heaven. How? By faith!

You too can do the same and be included in the Hall of Fame of Faith….
