God Asks Us to Give Thanks Because He Wants to Bless Us.

One day, I was talking with a friend and reminded him that despite the earth’s great generosity, it cannot provide food for a farmer who has not sown. I told him that if we could hear the voice of the earth, it would be saying, “Come and sow so that I may feed you! Come and sow so that I may feed you!

The earth wants to bless us. But it wants us to give it an opportunity to do so. It wants us to give it something so that it feels justified in giving us a hundred or a thousand times more in return. What is true for the earth is also true for God. God wants to bless us continually. That is why He asks us to give thanks continually. Our thanksgiving is a seed that allows God to bless us legitimately.

Do not be deceived: God is not mocked. A man reaps what he sows.” Galatians 6:7

Therefore, we must consider thanksgiving as a seed that we voluntarily bring to God. It is a kind of offering that we bring to God with a joyful heart. God, who is indebted to no one, ensures that we reap a hundredfold.

Who has a claim against me that I must pay? Everything under heaven belongs to me.” Job 41:11

A destroyer will come against Babylon; her warriors will be captured, and their bows will be broken. For the Lord is a God of retribution; he will repay in full.” Jeremiah 51:56
