He will laugh. Thursday, July 4.
Seated in heaven, God controls everything on earth because the earth is His footstool (Isaiah 66:1). In Psalm 2:1-4, the Bible states that when enemies try to fight against God’s anointed, the One seated in heaven laughs. In other words, when someone threatens a believer, God mocks them. If someone says you will not be promoted, the One seated in the heavens laughs. That’s because promotion comes neither from the east nor the west, but from God alone (Psalm 75:6-7).
If a doctor declares your case hopeless, the One seated in heaven will laugh because He has already provided for your healing thousands of years ago through His wounds (Isaiah 53:5). If someone tells you that you will not succeed in life, the One seated in heaven will laugh because Deuteronomy 28:13 says you will always be on top and never at the bottom.
While God mocks all the devil’s evil intentions against your life, you should not cry; instead, you should praise Him. Jesus Christ said:
“Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?” Matthew 6:27
Your worry will not bring any solution to unfavorable situations. When God laughs, you should laugh too. You should mock your mockers and stand firm on God’s unshakable word, knowing perfectly well that your case is already settled in God. Do not weep like those who have no hope. You are a child of the King of kings. Your Father owns the earth and everything in it (Psalm 24:1), so there is nothing you need that is beyond your reach.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” Philippians 4:6
When you make your requests known to God, do it with thanksgiving. Do not come to Him as if you have no hope. James 1:6-7 says that if you come to Him without faith, do not expect to receive anything from Him. Since Hebrews 11:1 tells us that faith is the assurance of things hoped for, you must come with thanksgiving, knowing very well that your requests are already granted. These are the ways of a true believer; he or she does not live in fear but in faith because of the awareness of the greatness and power of God.
