The Lord has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble.” Proverbs 16:4

When God intends to make a man a hero and calls him, He undertakes a twofold work: first, revealing to him his true identity, and second, allowing him to become aware of the purpose for which he lives.

By fixing your eyes on the goal you are meant to accomplish on this earth, you will realize that all creation has very precise objectives that deserve to be materialized by the human being you are.

Why the Song of the Bow?

In ancient kingdoms, the Middle Ages, and even in the Scriptures, many heroes and peoples used bows in times of war.

The Ephraimite archers, armed with bows, turned back on the day of battle.” Psalms 78:9

The bow was used as an emblem of strength to defeat the enemy, and also of royal dominion. With the bow, one fought from a distance, unlike with the sword. The archer sees the enemy coming from afar, perceives his movements and designs, and strikes him down before he can attack.

Those who wielded the bow had to demonstrate two skills. The first was the ability to draw a bow, requiring both physical strength and practical knowledge; while the second consisted of aiming the bow in order to shoot. This latter skill required expertise for accuracy to not miss the target; for the strength of an archer is found in his ability to hit his target and goal without wavering, keeping the bow steady and aimed precisely.

The value of an archer is not determined by his ability to draw the bow but by his ability to hit the target; likewise, the goals you achieve for God characterize your value to Him; the tree is known by its fruit.

Heroes, therefore, are people who have a precise goal and decide to achieve it by choosing to fight fiercely, despite the storms; and some even paying the price with their lives. Revelation 12:11 …and they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.

Throughout their stay on earth, heroes exert efforts aimed at pursuing their success. Philippians 3:14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. The apostle Paul speaks of this reality, reminding us that the primary task of every spirit on earth is to achieve the goal for which it was sent.

Speaking of himself, the apostle Paul distinctly explains that his goal, let’s say his target, was to win a heavenly prize, which is given only when the mission entrusted by the Master is fully accomplished.

It is imperative to know that a goal is a target or a pre-established objective for any achievement. In Greek, skopos, a goal is a distant mark that one looks at, so the task of the one who must reach a goal is to watch over the trajectory of their actions; for an act has the ability to either divert you or propel you toward the fulfillment of your objectives.

A series of repeated actions always leads to a reality that implies destiny. So, know that the combination of actions can create your success as long as they go in the positive direction of good achievements; it can also generate failure as long as they have no sense of progression.

Breakthrough or even downfall is at the end of the nature of the actions you take…
