During Passover, the blood was applied to the doorposts by the head of the family. Exodus 12:21-23 says:

Moses called all the elders of Israel and said to them, “Go and take livestock for your families and sacrifice the Passover. Then take a bunch of hyssop and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and you shall touch the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin. None of you shall leave your house until the morning. When the LORD passes by to smite Egypt, and sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to strike.

The implication of this truth is that you were supposed to regularly cover your family with blood. This is not necessarily the case when there is danger. Blood serves as an instrument of protection to cover your family from impending harm.

Applying it to door jambs is like covering every entrance with blood.

So, apply the blood at the start of the day, to the new business, to the project and to the approach you want to take. You must act in faith and believe that what you apply the blood to will not be touched. This is how we can implore the blood of Jesus:

  1. Plead the righteousness of blood – better than the blood of bulls.
  2. Plead life without sin that shed blood
  3. Plead for the strength of blood – let the weak say: “I am strong.”
“Forge swords from your hoards, And from your pruning hooks spears! Let the weak say: I am strong!” Joel 3:10
  4. Plead for the cleansing power of the blood.
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. » 1 John 1:9
  5. Learn to stay under the blood
The children of Israel were told to have it on the doorposts so that it would cover them and be above them. They stayed below.
  6. Use the blood to cover yourself from the harm done to you.
