The plans of a diligent man lead only to plenty, but he who acts hastily comes to nothing but want. Proverbs 21 : 5

Do not go out in haste, do not leave in flight; for the Etal. will go before you, and the God of Israel will close your path.” Isaiah 52:1

Something to think about: Proverbs 21:5; 3:5; 19:2

I don’t remember much from my childhood, but among those that are engraved in my soul is the memory of my father who, on returning from a trip to Europe, bought my brothers and me a cartoon projector, which he wrapped up like a Christmas present. I couldn’t wait to play with it, but Dad had arrived late that evening, so we had to wait until the next day for him to give us permission.

The morning after he arrived, he asked my big brother Karim to go and get the parcel, but I rushed ahead of him to take it back to my father. In my haste, I dropped the camera, which broke and was destroyed. We never got to use it again. My joy at being able to use it had gone with it. My clumsiness had deprived all the children of this wonderful gift. This painful experience left its mark on my soul. I realised that haste and impatience are destructive.

Of course, in this case it was only a toy that was destroyed, but impatience and haste destroy lives, businesses, projects and so on. According to the Word of God, Moses was aware that God had chosen him to free Israel, but in his haste he revealed to the devil the likelihood of a divine mission, especially as the time for Israel’s deliverance was drawing near (Acts 7:25). The devil then inspired Pharaoh, who decided to kill him.

Moses’ haste almost compromised his mission. As I have explained to you, your destiny is marked by mysteries that God has sealed to hide them from the devil and from yourself until you are ready to discover and manifest them. Each hidden piece of information contains (1) an instruction (what you are to do when the time comes), (2) a mission (what you are to achieve) and (3) resources (the means God has given you to achieve this goal). Joseph’s brothers had many grievances against him, but the reason they wanted to kill him was because of his dreams (Genesis 37:18-20). Because of the two dreams Joseph had, the devil inspired these men to kill their own brother.

If you want God to be at the front and back of your plans, don’t be hasty or impatient.

ACTION OF THE DAY: There are things in your life or in the lives of your children that should not be revealed too soon. Put a stop to your mouth and learn to keep quiet and above all to use social networks wisely and sparingly.

I read my Bible in 1 year: Leviticus 10; Psalms 11; 12; 25
