Those who choose to prioritize the development of their knowledge choose what yields the most. This is exactly what the rich do. Whenever they have to choose between several activities, they always opt for what brings the highest returns. For instance, a wealthy person will pay 20 euros to have their car washed while they read a book on investment, whereas a poor person will choose to wash their car themselves and save the 20 euros.

The rich know that the knowledge they acquire while their car is being washed will earn them thousands of euros over the years. The poor person who saved the 20 euros will eventually end up giving them to the rich when they seek investment advice.

This is the beginning of wisdom: Acquire wisdom, and with all your possessions acquire understanding. Exalt her, and she will promote you; she will bring you honor when you embrace her. She will place on your head a garland of grace; she will present you with a crown of beauty.” Proverbs 4:7-9

Why Prioritize What Yields The Most.

Be fruitful and multiply

The main reason why we should all prioritize what yields the most is the need to achieve more. The Holy Scriptures show us that the primary mission given to humans since creation was to be productive, to multiply what they produce in order to subdue and dominate.

Then God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, over the cattle, over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.’ So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.’” Genesis 1:26-28

The word used for “be fruitful” is the Hebrew word parah, which means “to produce.” This means that God commanded humans to be abundantly productive. Those who do not aspire to become increasingly productive each day refuse to follow divine instructions.

However, we must understand that there is no peace, joy, or fulfillment outside of God’s will. It is in our best interest to do everything possible to make all our days highly productive. To achieve this with certainty, we must begin by prioritizing tasks that yield the most…
