What do you think of yourself?
How do you see yourself? You will never succeed if you don’t see yourself as capable of success, regardless of your destiny.
Why don’t you love yourself?
Why don’t you appreciate what you have?
Why do you harbor negative thoughts about yourself?

Recognizing your own worth by maintaining positive thoughts about yourself is not pride. Sometimes, we make statements in our lives without fully realizing it:

● I am worthless
● I am stupid
● I am incapable
● I will never succeed at anything
● I will never learn anything in life
● …

Most of these declarations come to pass in our lives because we put our faith in them. That’s why it is said: “We must have faith, for the tongue holds the power of life and death.” A Bible verse also states: “What you fear will come upon you.”

We are the first prophets of our lives, but often we don’t see what God has planned for us because we keep reminding God of our own limitations. How can we reduce the One who created us in His image to the rank of a mere creature?

The Bible teaches: “Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment” Romans 12:3.

Some people see themselves as very important and sometimes treat others with contempt, but it is not right, according to divine teachings, to place oneself above others. True spirituality is humble. So, what kind of spirituality leads you to consider yourself superior, to glorify yourself? Who are you really?

Perhaps you try to define yourself by worldly standards, like physical attributes such as “big breasts,” “big hips,” “full lips,” “abs,” “a flat stomach,” etc. But if you seek to accept yourself only based on your appearance, you will never achieve true self-acceptance, as it must come from the spirit. Take the example of Christ: though He had no beauty or majesty by worldly standards, He was not insecure.

Brothers and sisters, do not overestimate your own importance, but judge yourselves with humility. For to have a humble judgment is to recognize who I am in Him, to appreciate my worth according to His standards, and to accept what He has made of me.
