Multiplied Visions.
I was unaware of the words of Hosea when I stood in my classroom at the prophet’s school at the Global Prophetic Center in Fort Lauderdale. While I was teaching about visions, suddenly the word of the Lord came to me speaking of multiplied visions. The Spirit of God said:
“I am pouring out multiplied visions upon seers and prophets. The eyes of the prophets will open to a new level. Multiplied visions. Multiplied visions. Multiplied visions.
“I will show you things to come, even those of the latter years and the end times. I will show you things through multiplied visions. You will have one after another as you begin to behold My beauty.
“For I hold the key and will open mysteries and show you things that you could not even imagine, and you will know it is Me because you cannot even imagine it. As wild as your imagination may be, the visions I will show you will be far wilder. I will show you visions like what Ezekiel saw and what John saw and what Zechariah saw.
“I will show you these things as you pursue Me and cleanse your eyes, wiping away the tears and distractions, and removing negativity and those things that have burned and hurt you. Look to Me because I am not only the Author.”
What Multiplied Visions Mean.
Before we break down this prophecy, let’s examine the scriptural meaning of multiplied visions. In Hosea 12:10, God spoke through the prophet: “I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions; I have given symbols through the witness of the prophets.” The English Standard Version says it this way: “I spoke to the prophets; it was I who multiplied visions, and through the prophets gave parables.” The NASB translates the verse as: “I have also spoken to the prophets, and I gave many visions, and through the prophets I gave parables.“
The key here is the word “multiplied,” which comes from the Hebrew word “rabah.” According to the KJV Old Testament Hebrew Lexicon, this word means “to be or become great, be or become many, be or become much, be or become numerous.” It also means “to multiply, have many, increase greatly or exceedingly.”
Visions are mentioned in the Bible far more than dreams, yet we have largely focused on dreams in recent decades. God empowers seers with great visions, many visions, and exceedingly increased visions. You might wonder why. One reason is because of the times we live in. Periods of acceleration require quicker revelation.
The Book of Revelation is essentially an example of multiplied visions. The purpose of these multiplied visions is stated in Revelation 1:1, to reveal “the things that must soon take place.” Multiplied visions are released to reveal things that will soon happen, to guide us on how to respond, and to show us how to prepare.
We are living in the last days and have entered the end times. The signs of the times are all around us. God is pouring out His Spirit on all flesh, and with this outpouring come prophetic operations such as prophecy, dreams, and visions. God is multiplying visions as a means to literally show us things to come, as promised in John 16:13.
Expect the Outpouring.
In the prophetic word, God said: “I am pouring out multiplied visions on seers and prophets. The eyes of the prophets will open to a new level. Multiplied visions. Multiplied visions. Multiplied visions.” Make this connection. In Joel 2:28, God said:
“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants, I will pour out My Spirit in those days.“
When Joel prophesied these dramatic words, it pointed to the day of Pentecost, a time that had not yet come. When Joel prophesied these dramatic words, prophets were the oracles of God. Though others had visions and dreams, the prophets primarily had a corner on visual revelation.
The outpouring on the day of Pentecost was the first in a long line of biblical records, and the first in a long series that we have seen over the last 2000 years. We know that an outpouring leads to an overflow of the gifts of the Holy Spirit manifesting.
Just as the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost fulfilled Joel’s prophecy in Joel 2:28 and triggered a new era of the Church, an outpouring of multiplied visions from the Holy Spirit marks a new era of powerful seers. In other words, if Hosea prophesied multiplied visions before the day of Pentecost, what can we expect in this new era of seers?
In the prophecy, the Holy Spirit said that the eyes of the prophets would be opened to a new level, leading to multiplied visions. I believe the Holy Spirit is showing us more than we are seeing. In other words, I believe we must intentionally commune with the Holy Spirit, ask Him to open the eyes of our heart, be sensitive to His heart, and look at what He is trying to show us.
Beholding His Beauty.
In the prophetic word, God said: “I will show you things to come, even things in the latter years and at the end of times. I will show you things through multiplied visions. You will have one after another as you begin to behold My beauty.”
Here, He gives us a secret to tapping into multiplied visions, great visions, exceedingly increased visions. This secret is to behold His beauty. This word “behold” is truly part of the mysteries of seers that few have understood, but King David perceived its power. In Psalm 27:4 (NIV), David writes:
“One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple.“
The Passion Translation offers an even more intimate understanding of David’s heart: “Here’s the one thing I crave from God, the one thing I seek above all else: I want the privilege of living with Him every moment in His house, finding the sweet loveliness of His face, filled with awe, delighting in His glory and grace. I want to live my life so close to Him that He takes pleasure in my every prayer.”
The Hebrew word for “behold” is “chazah.” According to the KJV Old Testament Hebrew Lexicon, it means not only to see, perceive, look, and behold, but also to see as a seer in an ecstatic state and to prophesy. Did you catch that? The seers of power who are intentional about His beauty will unlock multiplied visions of things to come. Let it flow!
