Do not be a “programmer analyst.” Deprogram everything that your partner has done to you in the past that you have programmed into your brain. The past is dangerous and can kill without warning. The past is the enemy of progress. It is a swift procrastinator that sets limits on your marital progress. The human brain is like a computer, and everything you program into it cannot be erased unless there is a viral attack.

Do not remain or establish yourself in the realm of past wounds and offenses done to you. Let us move forward and continue to keep the course of things. Please free yourself from the past because God will never consult your past before granting you a future. The past is like a cemetery, and the cemetery is the monument of the past.

Everywhere you see a monument, it does not evoke the present but always speaks to you of the past. If you want to remember someone who died forty years ago or more, the cemetery is the ideal place to remember them. What we see in the cemetery is the past. Many couples today live in the grave without knowing it. If you continue to hold things against your spouse or if you are still angry about a past event, you live in the grave of unforgiveness.

Do not allow today’s events to destroy your future. No matter what you are going through now, Jesus can change your story and give you a better hope!

Learn to handle your differences! Your marriage has to work! Work it out with fear and trembling through the Word of God and by the help of the Holy Spirit…
