If we believe that no one can love us as God does, we must also believe that no one can have a better plan for us than God. According to Jeremiah 29:11, God has chosen the plan of peace above all other imaginable plans simply because He knows it is the best thing we need.

Even if we don’t understand why the plan of peace is better than all the plans we have for ourselves and for our children, we should trust God as the omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent Creator. He is in the best position to tell us what we truly need.

If we have a different perception of God, it is simply because His ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9

The fact that God’s thoughts are above our human thoughts explains why our societies do not focus on the inner peace of citizens. Neither schools nor the media teach us to seek inner peace as a priority.

However, we all know it is important to have degrees, money, power, family, friends, and many other similar things. The truth is, what we really need to function optimally is peace.

So let us decide to give much more importance to peace, without neglecting the other good things in life…
