POSSESS A REWARD MINDSET.
Whatever is not of faith is sin.
“And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.” Romans 14:23
Whatever we don’t do in faith is dead; nothing will result from it. Therefore, our expectation must be in place to qualify for His manifestations. There must be an expectation for our faith to be substantiated for results. We must possess a reward mentality or mindset. According to scriptures, we serve God the rewarder.
“And ye shall serve the LorD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.” Exodus 23:25
You shall serve and God shall bless. It’s a deal, and the blessing will include divine health, fruitfulness (as you are blessed beyond barrenness) and longevity. So, it’s a deal with well-defined package. Scripture says,
“If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.” Job 36:11
Serving without expectation is serving in frustration. We are only entitled to be partakers of our hope. What we don’t hope for cannot happen in our lives.
“Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.” 1 Corinthians 9:10
We have to expect returns on our services or we will never be partakers of the reward. Nothing can be more motivating, empowering and energising than the consciousness of returns on our engagement. The reason you wake up to go to work is that you have expectation of a pay in return. So, even when it’s raining, you are out.
You can’t tell your employer that you were absent because it was raining b. Come rain or sun, we are only have gotten another job. Come rain or sur, we are on the move because there is the return mentality in our engagement.
“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2
Jesus saw the reward clearly. What He saw energised Him to endure (or call it enjoy) the cross, despising the shame. With a broad smile, He said to the thief on the right side, ‘Today you meet with Me in paradise’, with blood gushing from His hands and from His sides.
What awaited Him was too sure that He could not feel the pain of the moment.
Peter said, “Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee.
And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God’s sake, Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.” Luke 18:28-30
Also, it is written, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not” Galatians 6:9
Somebody may be asking, ‘When is my due season’?
The answer is, ‘When you are due’. You don’t get paid every day at work. You get paid when you are due. When your cloud is full, your rain will fall. Therefore, keep at it!..
