Provoking God’s Visitation

God wants to visit you and when God comes to visit, He is coming with the intention to come and dwell with, sojourn and reside with you for a period of time. Our discourse in this book is about when God visits: a divine visitation.

Divine visitation is that dimension of God that takes challenges far away from you. It breaks you free from the power of stress, looses you from the control of tension and makes you grow in the blessings of God.

God visits you because whatever affects you, affects Him. The Bible calls us, “His people and the sheep of His pasture.” Your health is of concern to Him. Your marriage is of concern to Him. Your financial welfare is of concern to God. Your vision in life, and how it pans out, is of concern to Him and because of His love for you, He does not want you to go in the wrong direction.

God has a purpose and plan for your life that will provoke His visitation. By prayerfully reading this book you will discover why God wants to visit you; what you can do to provoke His visitation and the blessings that you will experience when God visits you.

“Dictionary.com defines visitation in several ways, but the one that best fits the subject of this book is “the appearance or coming of a supernatural influence or spirit.” » He also gives another definition that matches why God visits people in the Old Testament; he describes it as an “Affliction or punishment, as sealed by God.” »
In the negative sense, when there is a supernatural visitation, it brings adversity, disaster, distress, pain or punishment. This type of visitation causes calamity, disaster, trouble or punishment of people. However, a positive visit is a come to stay, a come to stay. » It is to stop, or make a call to a person. So, when God comes to visit us, it is more than just a “stop by.” » He comes with the intention of coming to live, stay and reside with a person for a certain time.
Our discourse focuses on the moment when God is visited: a divine visitation. How do we know God is visiting? Often, these visits occur when a person is passing through a storm. The Bible tells the story of the Apostles in the boat on the sea and of Jesus who suddenly arrived, walking on the water. In the midst of their storm, Jesus came and visited them, so to speak; and the very tempest that tried to destroy them became a springboard for experiencing His power over the elements.

God can use the storms we experience and provide an opportunity for us to experience His delivered power. Most of the time, when the word “visitation” is used in the Old Testament, it suggests and connotes judgment. This is the same type of language that Luke is referring to.

What will you do in the day of punishment, and of the ruin which will fall upon you from afar? To whom will you flee for help, and where will you leave your glory ?  Isaiah 10:3

They will destroy you and your children among you, and they will not leave one stone upon another in you, because you did not know the time when you were visited.  Luke 19:44 8

However, in the New Testament, the visit is the image of an expected guest who comes with all the blessings and favors that we desire.

Be good conduct among the Gentiles, so that even where they slander you as if you were evildoers, they may notice your good works and glorify God in the day he visits them. 1 Peter 2:12

We also see that in the New Testament, God spoke of His redemption and deliverance.

Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, because he has visited and redeemed his people, … Luke 1:68

They all feared and glorified God, saying, A great prophet has appeared among us , and God visited his people.  Luke 7:16

In Luke 7 in particular, there is a sound of celebration because “God has visited his people. » Introduction 9 Provoking the visitation of God When we connect the fact of the visitation of God with the scripture which says: “because the word of the king is powerful; and who will say to him: What are you doing ? » Ecclesiastes 8:4; then it is safe to conclude that the grace of God, and also salvation, favor and blessing, all accompany the visitation of God. The result of the visitation of God is that the person who was visited glorifies God. For this dispensation of grace, this time of visiting God, is also a time of refreshing. God does this most often without warning; However, He does not come if He is not wanted. In other terms, we must expect it. Jesus told us that everyone knows the time.

As for the day and the hour, no one knows, neither the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.  Matthew 24:36

When God’s visitation occurs, it will be obvious. We will see the manifestation of deliverance, joy and favor. We must desire it so as not to leave it to the enemy so that he can take advantage and manifest himself as if he were God or an angel.

And this is not surprising, since Satan himself disguises himself as an angel of light. 2 Corinthians 11:14

Sometimes a person may have a personal experience that comes from the flesh or from demons. We need to know when God is visited and when God is monied. It is important to recognize when God visits us because anyone can afford to miss His visit. God’s visit is important to us. Israel missed Him when He came and they rejected Him.

She came to her own people, and her own people did not receive her.  John 1:11

God wants to visit you and when God comes to visit you, He comes with the intention of coming to dwell, sojourn, and reside with you for a period of time. Our discourse in this book is about the moment when God visits: a divine visit …
