These forms of illnesses include: spiritual illnesses, emotional illnesses, physical illnesses, illnesses arising from curses or demonic influences, mystical illnesses, and terminal illnesses (oppressive agony).

I – SPIRITUAL ILLNESSES

A/ Manifestations of spiritual illnesses.

This refers to a spiritual morbid state caused by our own sin. We feel spiritually uncomfortable and live in a state of false tranquility towards sin, so we neither feel troubled nor remorseful. This illness can take various forms:

• Habitual sins that make us true slaves to passion and create discouragement or even despair within us. For example, masturbation, sexual obsession in certain individuals.

• Spiritual acedia, which leaves us neither hot nor cold. We know what the Lord said about this in the Apocalypse: “Since you are lukewarm and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.”6

B/ Remedies for spiritual illnesses.

We recommend four remedies to treat spiritual illnesses:

• Deliverance or conversion prayer;

• Treatment through the sacrament of reconciliation;

• Treatment through spiritual direction;

• Psychological treatment.

II – EMOTIONAL ILLNESSES

A – Manifestations of emotional illnesses.

They are caused by the sin of others, which induces feelings within us that mark us for a time or for life. They are characterized by: anguish, anxiety, internal blockage resulting from wounds of sensitivity, trauma caused by events or people. For example:

• the case of a Christian wounded by the attitude of a priest;

• the case of a person revolted by injustice;

• the case of a person angered by the hatred of a brother or sister.

In my exorcism ministry, I encounter many cases of emotional illnesses.

B/ Remedies for emotional illnesses.

• Treatment through psychotherapy;
• Treatment through inner healing prayer;
• Treatment through the sacrament of reconciliation;
• Treatment through spiritual direction.

III – PHYSICAL ILLNESSES

A- Manifestations of physical illnesses.

They are caused by pathogens (microbes, viruses…), accidents, physiological causes…

B – Remedies for physical illnesses.

• Treatment by Western medicine, or sometimes by traditional medicine; there are cases where the remedy is faith healing prayer, the effectiveness of which speaks for itself (cf. Lourdes and elsewhere); treatment through the sacrament of the sick—I have often witnessed the healing of certain patients after this sacrament;
• Treatment through the sacrament of reconciliation and the Eucharist.

IV – ILLNESSES ARISING FROM CURSES OR DEMONIC INFLUENCES

A- Manifestations of illnesses related to curses or demonic influences.

The range is wide for cases of illnesses arising from curses or demonic influences. There are all sorts of them. Here are a few documented cases:
