REBUKE THE CONTRARY WINDS.
The next thing to do in combating the storms of life is what Jesus did in Mark 4:39:
“And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.”
I don’t know what the storms in your life are, but one thing I know is that it is time to challenge them. Haying taken your rest in God, and with your heart stayed on Him for saving grace, it is time to address those storms. Rebuke the contrary wind blowing around you.
Every storm has ears to hear and a mind to understand and recognize the authority behind the voice that is speaking. Note that Jesus did not rebuke the devil here. No! He simply challenged the storm. He spoke directly to the situation and it obeyed, because storms are not hard of hearing. Business failure is not deaf, barrenness has ears to hear, confusion and lack also have ears, and so does every storm of life. It is time to rebuke every wind that is contrary to God’s will for your life.
Note that Jesus al”Peace be stebuking the winds. He said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” No wonder He taught us in Mark 11, to address our mountains, not the devil, and not even God. We are to address the issues, the contrary situations and circumstances.
The power of life and death lie in your tongue, that’s what the Word says (Prov. 18:21). Address that embar. rassing situation right now. Say to it what you desire, that is in line with the Word of God. It is time to challenge your challenges. The storms you cannot address will not submit to you.
Look at every storm and say, “You are too small to overcome me, because the Greater One lives on my side.“
You have the same authority as Jesus, because He said greater works than He did we will do also (John.14:12). Therefore, arise like Jesus did and wield your scepter of authority, by rebuking the winds and speaking peace to the turbulence around you. The conclusion of the whole matter is this: Fear not!
Jesus is asking you right now, the same way He asked His jittery disciples, “Why are ye so fearful!” Fear destroys. Anything or anybody you fear automatically enslaves you. Have you forgotten that you belong to the order of the Lion of the tribe of Judah? The righteous is as bold as a lion, not as cowardly as a rat.
The knowledge of the truth will put you over, and the truth shall set you free. Embrace the truth of His Word now and live….
