It is being on duty that qualifies us for promotion. When we are no longer on duty; then, we are no longer candidates for promotion. Remember, Moses was on duty when God met him and changed his level. Peter was on duty for Jesus when his level changed supernaturally from fisher of fishes to a fisher of men.

We must choose to remain on duty to qualify for continuous and unending change of level. We must remain on duty for God, praying Kingdom advancement prayers, reaching out to the lost, serving in every other capacity that the grace of God makes possible for us.

This is so vital! Check any Christian who has stopped engaging in active service, he keeps going in circle, nothing is changing, and nothing is working.

Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.” Matthew 24:45-47

If we must qualify for continuous change of level, then we must commit to continuous and unbroken stewardship in the house of God. We must believe God for grace to remain on duty faithfully, productively, impact-fully and then, our level will never stop changing.

Continuity in stewardship is the only guarantee for the giant in us to come alive. Every lifting and change of level recorded in scriptures happened to men on duty, men in service. Just like it is common knowledge; nobody is legible for promotion in any organisation except he is in service, if he has retired, it’s over. He must be in service to be eligible for promotion.

Everybody that encountered a change of level was found in service; Moses was busy keeping his father-in-law’s sheep when God said put off thy shoes from where thou art, it’s a holy ground and then delivered to him an everlasting mandate at the age of eighty.

And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.

“And the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;

And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.

Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.”

Exodus 3:5, 7-10

And Moses brought heaven down to the earth undeniable terms.

God decided to choose a king from the house of Je: he picked someone on duty keeping his father’s she God hasn’t changed; He needed someone to lead mission after His mission on earth was over and found Peter on duty.

And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him, which would trust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.” Luke 5:3

And Peter did not complain or grumble, and from that day, he became a fisher of men.

And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men.” Luke 5:10

Every change of level met people on duty. Elisha was plowing on his father’s field with two yokes of oxen when Elijah found him and cast the mantle on him and le became the next Elijah. It met him on duty.

So he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him.” 1 Kings 19:19

It is important for us to actively engage this Kingdom st mystery as a lifestyle because that is where our ting will meet us.

“Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.” Matthew 24:45-47

He must be found on duty to experience a change of level. He was a servant, then he became a ruler because he was found on duty. That was the case of Paul the apostle; he was a diehard servant of God (Romans 1:1).

He expressed his passionate stewardship with some striking statements in scriptures like,

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” Philippians 1:21

For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!” 1 Corinthians 9:16

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come.” Romans 8:35-38

This man grew to the point that he wrote two third of the New Testament, he was like Christ personified because Christ is the Word, so Christ manifested His Word through him. It got to a point that demon said, Jesus I know, Paul I know but who are you’? (Acts 19:15).

They said to Paul, the gods have come down to us in the likeness of men (Acts 14:11). He was just outside the box by his diehard, unyielding, unbending, unbroken focus in service. God never lies; He is a rewarder of them that diligently and genuinely not just ceremonially seek Him.

There are things we enjoy doing, they call it our hobby, so, be personal! If we are not personal, we can’t have personal testimonies. God cannot respond to us on our terms, He will respond to us on His terms…
