RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HOLINESS.
“Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous”. 1 John 3:7
Righteousness is an action. It is not what you say but what you do daily. It is not what you preach but what you do. He that doeth righteousness is righteous and he that does not practice righteousness is not righteous at all! Righteousness is to be in right standing with God.
In a simple way, righteousness is to do what is right. Righteousness is not reputation because reputation is what people are saying about you and for you. But integrity is God’s testimony about you. Can God stand for you?
“The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them. Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.” Proverbs 11:3-4
“The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him.” Proverbs 20:7
A man of God once said: “Our attitude determines our altitude”. Integrity is the foundation for supernatural overflow in life. Unrighteousness is a destiny killer of the highest order. Living and right dealings do not reduce a man’s level but promote and sustain it daily. You cannot enjoy prosperity in the kingdom of God when you celebrate iniquity. The kingdom of God’s blessing has respect for purified people.
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33
Righteousness is a convertible asset before God and a major prerequisite for blessing in the kingdom of God. Prosperity and blessing respond to the demand of kingdom purity. “But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
“Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows”. Hebrews 1:8-9
This scripture talks about Jesus. He was blessed and anointed above His companions because He hated iniquity and loved righteousness. Hate what God hates and love what God loves and God will bless you.
“Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” Proverbs 14:34
“In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.” Isaiah 54:14
“But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.” 1 Timothy 6:11
Righteousness establishes your blessing. So many people are involved in all kinds of businesses just to get wealth by all means. Let me tell you this: you don’t prosper by all means but by God’s means. Your blessing must come by God’s means and terms for you to be really blessed.
“Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.” Hebrews 12:14-17
You can’t eat your cake and have it back! Follow peace with all men, and holiness without which no one shall see the Lord and His blessing. Holiness is a major demand for God’s blessing.
“Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. “ Matthew 7:6
The blessing is for those that will value it and live right to glorify God. Read Job 22:21-28 and you will find out that prosperity is spiritual as well. You cannot be paying tithe and not living a holy life. Your physical prosperity is a clear evidence of your spiritual prosperity…
