On June 15, 1985, the Lord said to me, You are ordained for prosperity; for wealth is a gift according to 2 Corinthians 8:9. Since you have left everything and followed me, you will receive a hundredfold in this life” (Matthew 19:29, Luke 18:29-30).

On July 16, 1985, the Lord said to me, My son Charles, demons will flee when you speak, the disabled will walk… I have chosen you in your weakness to demonstrate My strength in you. As I was with Moses, Elijah, McPherson, Wigglesworth, Osborn, and Roberts, so will I be with you. I am determined to use you to preach to the ends of the earth. Where there is no door, I will create one for you. Just trust in Me. Forget about your finances, for the earth is Mine and everything in it…

On January 5, 1986, the Lord said to me, “…if you take care to observe everything I command you, you will lack nothing, for I am resolved to bless you abundantly. But remember that everything I give you is for the benefit of others—your chairs, your house, your food, and all the possessions I give you. You will use your wealth for the benefit of others. I will give you houses, servants, and maidservants, cows and goats, sheep and poultry, land, money, and gold. It is I who give, and it is I who take away. I have decided to give you so much that there will not be room to contain all I will give you…”

While I was at Bible school in Benin City, Nigeria, I had the privilege of speaking with Reverend David Oyedepo (now Bishop). I was supposed to help him ordain Reverend Fred Addo, and he said to me, “God wants us to ordain Agyinasare as an apostle in Ghana.” He then ordained me as an apostle.

You know Bishop Oyedepo is an apostle of prosperity, called to make God’s people rich. So, the anointing to make people rich came upon me powerfully.

The Mantle of Simplicity

While I was preaching for Bishop Oyedepo in 1986, Pastor Adeboye was also preaching at the same convention. I had the privilege of meeting him.

He asked me to visit him in Lagos before I returned to Ghana. After my Bible school graduation in December 1986, I visited him, and he hosted me at his residence for two nights.

Later that year, while I was at the All Nations for Christ Bible Institute in Benin City, Nigeria, the Nigerian government issued an order prohibiting outdoor crusades.

The following month, Archbishop Idahosa held a crusade in Onitsha, Nigeria. A truckload of soldiers was sent to arrest him while he preached. I was part of the crusade team. Instead of arresting him, the soldiers raised their hands, weapons in hand, and accepted Christ as he preached. That day, the Lord said to me, “You are also a watchman.”
