THE CONNECTION OF FEAR TO DISEASES AND DEATH.
A soul is invisible. A soul belongs to a spiritual entity. A soul belongs to the spiritual category. Remember, God is Invisible, and God visited man in the garden. Man had the ability to hear the voice of God, to interact with God. And because he was a man of soul, he had a certain covering that gave him supernatural protection. His hearing was in perfect condition, so the voice of God conveyed or transmitted love and connection.
But something happened when sin entered the world.
“And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.” Genesis 3:8-10
When sin entered him for the first time, something that had never existed before came into being—fear. Fear had never existed. What was fear? Fear was his experience when the voice of God came after he ate from the tree that God had warned him not to eat from. So, the combination of God’s voice with the ear of the dead man who ate from the tree that God warned him not to eat from—that’s when fear appeared.
This experience of God’s voice to the fallen man in the garden and the extraction in the words that Adam gave to this resentment. What he had towards God was what created the fear. Remember, no matter what Adam called this feeling, it became a reality because he didn’t know what fear was. He had never heard of the word “fear,” but it was an expression in words that he gave to this feeling. So? Satan succeeded in taking hold of this force.
“And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.” Revelation 12:9-10
So Satan has no power, but your fear gives him power. The most powerful force on earth is not the devil, but your fear becomes the devil’s most powerful tool. So the strongest force on Earth is not the devil, but it is the perception of the devil. You think you are old enough to get married, and you are afraid. So every man who comes to you, you sleep with him, because he promises marriage.
What leads you to this? Fear. The month is ending, you need to pay your bills, you’ve been threatened by your landlord that you will be evicted in a few days by the end of the month. You will steal, you will lie to catch up with your finances to pay the bills. What brought you to this? The same spirit of fear. Fear only creates your physical realities. Fear is responsible for your physical experiences. Fear is responsible for what you become.
Fear is what allows the Devil to enter your destiny. Fear is what corrupts God’s program in your life. Fear drives you away from God’s territory and places you in the territory of darkness. Fear is the product of functioning in a domain where God is not your reality. Sin is the feeder of fear. Every intentional sin is a form of idolatry.
He who knows what God wants but refuses to do it is an idolater. Judgment will come sooner or later on every idolater. If you plan to sin with the hope that after committing an act of sin, you will ask for forgiveness from God, I beg you not to dare it. There is no guarantee that you will be able to repent after deliberately sinning.
People who sin deliberately will continue to sin. The moment you begin to sin, forget it. It will take a firm hold on you. The reason is that repentance is a gift from God. God may decide not to grant you repentance. One of God’s deliberate acts is the hardening of the heart. God can harden your heart; He did it to Pharaoh.
Repentance is an act of the Holy Spirit, repentance is an act of God. If God has not given you the heart to repent, you will not. If the Holy Spirit does not lead you to repentance, you cannot. It is better for you not to begin to sin.
Do not even get into the details. The possibility of entering apostasy is high if you sin deliberately. God is busy saving humanity. The Holy Spirit is working powerfully in these last days to save humanity. You cannot sin and play with sin in these last days. Do not do it.
It’s even better not to start the journey with that sin. Do not even open this chapter because this sin could take a lifetime before you can get out of it.
“For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, and have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, if they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.” Hebrews 6:4-6
So watch your life now if you are a believer and have committed some sin, whether adultery, fornication, idleness, heresies, idolatry, wickedness, jealousy, gossiping, conspiring the downfall of others, lying.
You deliberately lie, so you have traveled yourself into a state of apostasy. You have fallen and are now one of those whom the scriptures have prophesied.
“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.” 2 Thessalonians 2:3
There will be a great apostasy before the coming of Jesus Christ. So, deliberately sinning is crucifying our God afresh. Can you bear this responsibility? Is this what you want to do? Because this is what you do when you disobey God’s instructions after knowing the truth.
“Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled.” Hebrews 12:15
You may wonder, how can I know which sin will be a sin unto death for me? The answer is that no one can know before the sin is committed, and this sin would be one that leads to death for them. Every sin can lead to death. Let no one deceive you that there is a particular sin that can kill you. Every sin can lead to your physical death.
But of course, I can give you some insights here and there about possible sins that may lead to death. Consider now the sin of sexual immorality. King David committed this sin, and for him, it was not a sin that led to death. He repented and was restored. On the other hand, his first son Amnon committed the sin of sexual immorality with his sister Tamar, and for him, it was a sin that led straight to death. God killed him.
Second, consider the sin of lying. For example, many believers have lied and did not die immediately for it, because for them, it was not the sin that led to death. However, for Ananias and his wife Sapphira, when they lied, the sin was mortal. Some may have lied and not died instantly, right?
Judged as mortal, but at some point, someone lied and it became a sin that required immediate judgment of death. Do not harden your heart when the Spirit of God convicts you of your sins. This sin, when lived out continuously, can lead to a sudden judgment of physical death upon your body…
