• Participating in the Heavenly Security Council

It is often said that the future belongs to those who rise early, and this is true. Pastor David ABIOYE, one of the fathers of faith, said, “If you sleep all night, be prepared to lose the entire day.” It may sound commonplace, but nothing can be accomplished in this world unless we decide one day to change our lifestyle and not live like others.

It is clear that most people always live the same way, and there has never been a difference, so you stand out by refusing to conform to their lifestyles. The Apostle Paul says:

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:2

Therefore, make it a habit to rise early and start your day by declaring what you want in the day with faith and in the presence of the Lord. For this is a formidable key. All the battles you see are not won during the day but before its beginning. They are won first at dawn by going into prayer to take possession of the day. That is why it is written in Job 38:12-15:

“Have you commanded the morning since your days began, and caused the dawn to know its place, that it might take hold of the skirts of the earth, and the wicked be shaken out of it? It is changed like clay under the seal, and its features stand out like a garment. From the wicked their light is withheld, and their uplifted arm is broken.

The giants of this world take time at night to command the morning, to imprint their day by shaping it with words. For it is like clay in our hands. The greatest challenge is to always undergo our days without doing anything to change them. As the perfect example, Jesus Christ would rise very early to imprint his days. It is written:

And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.” Mark 1:35

He could have chosen another time to pray, but often he did it early in the morning. Why? Because that is the moment to take possession of what is yours. One could say that it is in the morning that the meeting of decision-makers of what will happen during the day takes place, so it is important to be part of this assembly of decision-makers every day of our lives to have our say.

Tips: Do everything possible to be part of the roundtable of decision-makers in your day to win every day.

Scriptures also tell us that we must shake off the wicked, break the arms raised against our lives, the life of our country, our continent, and the whole earth. God has given us authority through Jesus Christ to establish the Kingdom of heaven on earth, and we should take our responsibilities to fulfill this role. So, after commanding the morning by being at the decision-making table, declare what God wants for the day for your environment, your nation, your continent, and for the whole earth. It is important that His reign is established so that the earth reflects the perfect image of heaven.

Tips: Take responsibility so that God’s decrees become the norm in our lives and in the lives of those around us. Prepare a notebook to remind you of what needs to be programmed and declared, for the spiritual realm is a realm of precision. Plan and declare words of conquest over your daily activities. Take time in the evening to plan the next day and present it before the Lord.

  • Participate in the decision-making of the day.

I hope you are familiar with the United Nations (UN). You know that only 5 nations truly have the right to make decisions, and nothing can happen without their approval. To make decisions, one must find a way to sit at their discussion table. It is the same for the earth. For the United Nations, a powerful nation with a certain economic status is needed to sit on the UN Security Council.

For the earth, all it takes is to rise early and pray in the presence of God to be part of the heavenly security council. I pray that you are aware of the importance of rising early today, in the name of Jesus, to be part of the heavenly security council. Look at men who have had a significant impact on our world; you will see that they did not neglect the importance of rising early. A few months ago, I visited Bishop Oyedepo at Cannaland in Lagos.

I noticed that he was in church every day at 5:30 with everyone to take possession of the day. I was told that he has never missed this appointment for at least 15 years. It is amazing that he has such a global ministry. So, rise now and become a decision-maker, a member of the earthly security council to influence your ideas in your generation. It is crucial.

We can echo the words of Bishop David ABIOYE: rise early to conquer the entire day because winners are early risers. You now understand that one of the choices to make is to wake up early. It is written somewhere that “your success depends on what you do with your nights.” To succeed in waking up early, plan your time to go to bed as early as possible. Avoid going to bed at any time. You need rest, so use the wisdom of the ant to prepare for awakening. Attention: do not think it will be automatic. It is something you will have to learn to do gradually before it succeeds; it is a constant effort before it becomes a reality, not just today but throughout your life.

Tip: Take the time to plan your bedtime to get at least 4 hours of sleep. You may want to know what time you should wake up to always be on time. I cannot give you a fixed time, but 5 a.m. is an excellent time to be on time. I know you can tell me that you may be a hardworking civil servant and do not really have time to rest. But then, how to wake up early? I have a question for you: do you want to win the battle of the day, have a rewarding and happy day, take possession of your day so that nothing negative happens to you, your family, your business, etc.?

If yes, then you have no choice; you must do everything possible every day to sit at the decision-makers’ table on earth at the appointed time, because past that time, practically any request is null and void. Imagine that you are on a battlefield and you are fighting a fierce enemy. Tell me, will he not take advantage of any weakness on your part to defeat you?

Do you now understand why you need to wake up early because the enemy is watching and prowls like a roaring lion? He only needs to notice the day you are weak, and damage occurs. Lift up your head and remember that you are not like everyone else, and therefore, your life cannot be like everyone else’s.

My personal testimony: after my trip to Canaanland, I decided to wake up early to pray. After 2 weeks, I started making excuses until the day the Holy Spirit revealed to me that if I wanted to have the impact God had planned for me, I had to learn to sit at the table to plead before the court of justice and then declare what was to happen in my day. Remember what God said to Job, it is written:

Have you commanded the morning since your days began, and caused the dawn to know its place, that it might take hold of the skirts of the earth, and the wicked be shaken out of it; that it might be changed like clay under the seal, and be dyed like a garment; that the wicked might be saved from the day of trouble and that the arm of the tyrant be broken?” Job 38:12-15

Beloved, we have a responsibility as stewards, as sentinels to ensure that our Heavenly Father’s precepts are upheld on earth. It is not enough to be pleasing to God. It is good to be, but we must not neglect the principles and laws that he has established himself. Oh yes! Does that surprise you? Ok, let’s follow how, from a testimony of a person, we can shift into distress, even while being pleasing to God. Let’s read a little about what God says about Job; it is written:

The Lord said to Satan, ‘Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one like him on earth; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.'”

You see how God himself, in this narrative, was praising Job. Note that it is God himself. This would mean that Job was so blameless in almost everything, considering the law. So why did God allow this? It is true that you will tell me that it is because Satan intervened with his schemes.

Yes, there is that. But Job did not follow the principle of rising early to put things in God’s hands. Because if he had, even if God wanted to allow it, he would not, considering his faithfulness, which would prevail at that moment. So yes, do everything possible to be pleasing to God, but do not forget these principles. The beautiful thing about it is that Job was restored to double what he had.

The point to remember is that God allows a difficult situation because he finds an opportunity to elevate you. May God grant you the grace not only to be imbued with these truths but to apply them in your lives. Amen! But beware! There is one thing I would like to confess to you. The most subtle thing in a Christian’s life is to be in the presence of God, to praise him, to worship him, but not really to follow his commandments or the principles he himself has established.

Have you noticed how Job went into the presence of God? He was there frequently, but since he did not follow the law of declaring to take possession of the day, Satan found an opportunity to strike. Because, hold on, if he had done it, God could not allow him to touch him since he had already taken possession of the day.

One day, I woke up early and went into prayer, and all that was rising in my heart was praise for the Lord, until one in the morning. When I finished, I wanted to declare to take possession of the day, and I heard my son say, “I’ll take care of everything.” Implicitly: “Do not pray for that anymore?” and so I didn’t pray anymore. That day, I couldn’t do much. I just chatted all day long. And I started to doubt if it was really the voice of God I had heard.

But hold on, the next day, I went there, prayed, declared, prophesied to take possession of the day. And that’s when I heard my dear Holy Spirit tell me, “There’s something you don’t understand yet, in fact, when you go into the presence of God, and his presence is manifest, he automatically addresses what challenges you have in your body and all around. Yes, your burdens are taken, and he blesses you. However, regarding the world in which you live, you must declare, command, prophesy so that creation hears it and obeys you. And he continues:

For by your words you will be justified, and by your words, you will be condemned” (Matthew 12:37).

So, you must say it with your mouth, my dear, otherwise, it does not work. Also, understand one thing, praying in tongues is good because that’s where you speak mysteries through me. But remember that when you do it, you edify yourself. Now, the principle of speaking in tongues is to be clothed with power, and with this power, declare in the visible what you have heard and what you want, so speaking in tongues just prepares you for battle.

That’s how it works. Why? But because creation does not hear the language of the Spirit, only God understands it. Remember: Therefore, pray a lot in tongues to communicate with God on the direct line. And once he communicates to you what to do, declare in the visible what he told you, and the results will come.
