Staying with Locals
The places where you sleep during your journey are of utmost importance. To understand the context, you must consider the spirituality of your hosts.
- If they are not Christians and worship a different god, you may face difficulties.
- If they are not Christians and are atheists, you will also need to spiritually claim your sleeping spaces.
- Even if they are Christians but do not exhibit the character of Christ or fully follow God’s will, you must prepare spiritually for your time in the room assigned to you.
Hotel Rooms
No hotel room is neutral. These are transient spaces open to all kinds of:
- Sexual practices,
- Spiritual activities.
Before entering a hotel room, spiritual cleansing is essential. This is why you must:
- Pray for the place where you are going to sleep (even if it’s a room lent by close family).
- Pray if, during your stay, you find yourself in the company of people living in impurity. Indeed, impurity is a pathway for the enemy of our souls, who operates where practices contrary to God’s will occur.
Remember: As soon as you arrive at an unusual sleeping place, you must pray in that space before lying down. Praying in every room you occupy is of critical importance to avoid spiritual attacks.
