Let’s be honest: sex is an act between a man and a woman intended to bring pleasure to those involved. This fact is undeniable and a reality. There are doctrines that teach that sex in itself is a bad thing, which is false. When one is overly spiritual, there is a tendency to view things in a skewed and partial manner.

Sex is a wonderful thing, and it was created by God. It was designed so that a man and a woman could express their attachment, their love for their partners, and their commitments within the framework of marriage. It is thus a form of love language, just like others we wish to share with our beloved. Denying this fact would be a hypocritical stance. However, to be clear, it is important to keep in mind the term “framework of marriage.”

Marriage was also designed for the purpose of procreation, that is, the act of producing offspring. We should not be surprised that, since it is also a source of pleasure for our bodies, some Christians, even the most spiritual ones, struggle. Many women find themselves trapped in the vicious cycle of this same sin because they had sexual relations with their partners before their conversions.

Once converted, they become aware of their past wrongs and try to overcome them. Unfortunately, this battle is difficult and becomes an endless struggle because their bodies have already experienced it.

Indeed, our brains have the ability to store all the acts we have experienced in the past, both good and bad, and continually try to remind us of the sensations they produced. This is why, if the brain has encountered a certain tragedy in the past, it will try to orchestrate multiple pieces of information to prevent the person from experiencing it again.

Similarly, if the person has already experienced pleasure in sexual acts, their brain will try to find a way to reproduce those same effects. Of course, Satan takes advantage of this situation to ensure that the individual never escapes this vice and lives the rest of their days in impurity. Some fight against this, but still end up stumbling again.

Indeed, they become so bound by these experiences that their hopes of escaping them become almost null. The devil will convince the victim that someone who was sexually active in the past cannot enter the door of abstinence. This is practically false…
