THE MYSTERY OF PRAISE.
Many people are unaware of the place, importance, and role of praise in receiving answers from God. Several mysteries exist in the Kingdom of God, and these mysteries allow us to achieve results from God—praise is one of them.
A mystery is a divine secret accessible only through revelation. When you gain access to a secret and practice it properly, the results will be tangible. He said to them:
“The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside, everything is said in parables.“ (Mark 4:11)
“He said, ‘The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that, though seeing, they may not see; though hearing, they may not understand.’” (Luke 8:10)
It has been given to you; it has been revealed to you, and the only way to benefit from it is to apply it. A Kingdom mystery that you do not apply will not work for you. Praise is a Kingdom mystery that enables God to descend at any moment and in any circumstance. It is a means to provoke God’s intervention in any area of your life.
According to the dictionary, praise is the act of celebrating (honoring) someone’s merit (their quality or value). When you praise God, you celebrate who He is to you, what He has done for you, what He is doing, and what He will do. It is a celebration addressed to God, signals of glory to magnify His greatness, and exalt His power so that He may demonstrate His greatness in your life and situation.
“Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Praise the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.“ (1 Chronicles 16:8,34)
“Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done.“ (Psalm 105:1)
“Praise the Lord. I will extol the Lord with all my heart in the council of the upright and in the assembly.“ (Psalm 111:1)
These verses show how beautiful and pleasing it is to praise the Lord our God. Praise is a way to provoke the manifestation of God’s presence. While God’s presence is one thing, the manifestation of His presence is another. Someone may be present somewhere without revealing themselves, but when someone manifests their presence, it is evident.
Through your praise, God Himself descends to satisfy you in whatever area you are waiting on Him. When you enter a king’s court and, from afar, start praising and glorifying the king, even if he had no intention of listening to you, he will have no choice but to give you his attention, even if only for a few minutes, so your request may be heard.
Similarly, when you approach someone and compliment their outfit or appearance, even if they had no intention of welcoming you, they might say, “I’ll grant you a few minutes.” The same happens when you praise God before presenting your requests and prayers.
When we pray, our prayers ascend to God, but God descends to us through our praises. God may send an angel to deliver the answer to your prayer, but when it comes to praise, He comes Himself to deliver it.
Daniel prayed to God, and God sent an angel to deliver his answer. However, the angel was delayed for 21 days by invisible forces. Let us read the Scriptures to better understand this wonderful story:
“Then he continued, ‘Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia.‘” (Daniel 10:12-13)
God sent the answer to Daniel’s prayer through an angel, but the angel was held up by invisible forces opposing Daniel’s access to his answer. Similarly, God has sent answers to many people’s prayers, but forces of resistance in the spiritual realm hinder their delivery.
Declare this prayer:
“Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I declare that all answers to my prayers and blessings that the enemy has delayed from reaching me are released and delivered now, in Jesus’ name. I declare that every angel you have sent to deliver my blessings, but has been held back by the forces of darkness, is released now, in Jesus’ name. Let every power resisting the delivery of my blessings be paralyzed now, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.“
When we praise, we compel God Himself to descend. Praise is the best way to provoke the manifestation of God’s presence…
