The bearer of destiny is not tasked with determining your path, but he does have the power to significantly influence it. Imagine yourself on the shoulders of a giant—but what if that giant were blind? And what if he had lost his sense of direction? The giant is supposed to see farther than us, walk faster than us, and withstand harsh weather longer than us.

However, once he accepts to carry us on his shoulders, we can see as far as he can—and sometimes even farther, with greater clarity. We can also guide him to speed up or slow down depending on the obstacles and storms along the way. Thanks to him, we are protected from many pitfalls.

But if the giant is ill, we won’t go very far. If the giant is weak, we might get lost along the way. Who is your mentor? Who is carrying you on their shoulders? Who is greater than you and has decided to help you move forward in your quest for destiny? According to the Holy Scriptures, a man is allowed to have as many mentors as he wishes, depending on the strings to his bow, his journeys, and his story.

Draw close to someone great, good, healthy, and trustworthy who can take your hand and help you carve your path. A politician may have a businessman as a mentor; a social entrepreneur may be mentored by a politician; an artist may be mentored by a clergyman. It all depends on the possibilities and the trajectories. Sometimes, nature imposes mentors on us for a season—mentors we should never despise.

However, man is called to master nature and to push himself to seek the mentors he believes can lead him to safe harbor. One last thing: an illiterate old man can be the mentor of a basketball superstar. Some even have their biological parents as mentors. When it comes to mentorship, all roads lead to Rome. Everyone must choose the path they believe is best suited to their destiny…
