The spirit of death can act directly by spreading and unleashing its plagues of destruction through sudden, spontaneous, abrupt, unexpected, and violent actions, imposing its rule of pain and emotional chaos, tears, and devastation upon lives. It is a spirit of darkness whose only purpose is to kill, steal, and destroy.

However, in addition to this violent strategy of operation, the spirit of death most often operates by subtly and deceitfully programming its plan of ruin and damage without us noticing, in order to deliver its fatal blow. It will try to enter your homes; therefore, do not wait for a situation to escalate—react quickly and firmly against anything that could lead to death. Deal decisively with any agents or mediums used or operating on behalf of the spirit of death or the realm of darkness.

Likewise, when unusual and strange events like bizarre suicides occurring in the same places (bridges, houses, roads…) begin to happen subtly around you—in your family, workplace, neighborhood, city, or even your country—and bring about deadly incidents and accidents, such as kitchen gas explosions, drownings, recurring stabbings or shootings leading to fatalities, inexplicable tragedies that plunge families into mourning, or sudden road accidents, it indicates that the gate of the realm of the dead has been opened, and the shadow that brings death has been released upon the nation or the family.

Know this: every spiritual or physical reality has an entry and an exit gate, and just as life has a gate, death and its shadow also have gates. When we speak of shadow, we are referring to everything that opposes the light.

Among Indians, the shadow remains near the tomb. Furthermore, since a shadow symbolizes what is transient, when there is no more shadow, it means the being no longer exists.

“Have the gates of death been revealed to you? Or have you seen the gates of the shadow of death?” — Job 38:17

“Have mercy on me, Lord! See how my enemies afflict me! Lift me up from the gates of death.” — Psalms 9:13

“He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death and broke away their chains.” — Psalms 107:14

C. The Operating Mode of the Spirit of Death

The approach used by the spirit of death begins with infiltrating the targeted person. The planned project of destruction then follows a rather complex path, depending on the targeted individual and the intended objective. Let’s unfold this strategy through the following biblical verses:

1) The Dust of Death

Just like the spirit that acts subtly, dust settles without our knowledge. One must be cautious not to be caught off guard by this plague.

“My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth; you lay me in the dust of death.” — Psalms 22:15

2) Death Speaks

“Destruction and Death say, ‘We have heard a report of it with our ears.’” — Job 28:22

At this stage, the spirit of death begins to speak to you, injecting voices into your mind, into your thoughts. While it speaks to your thoughts, it will try to lull you into the sleep of death, to keep you from being alert. And if you are a Christian, you may fail to take seriously the warning signs that should have alerted you.

3) The Sleep of Death

“Look on me and answer, Lord my God. Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death.” — Psalms 13:4

In this sleep of death, the targeted person is led down a path that leads to the realm of the dead.

4) The Way of Death

“There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.” — Proverbs 14:12

On this path, you are covered with the shadow of death, gently isolating you from those who benefit from the light of life.

5) The Shadow of Death

“May darkness and deep shadow claim it once more; may a cloud settle over it; may blackness overwhelm it.” — Job 3:5

“A land as dark as midnight, a land of gloom and chaos, where even the light is darkness.” — Job 10:22

Darkness and the shadow of death expose us to the traps of death.

6) The Traps of Death

“…to turn them away from the snares of death.” — Proverbs 13:14

These death traps are set by messengers of death with their nets of death.

“The cords of death entangled me; the torrents of destruction overwhelmed me.” — Psalms 18:4

“The cords of the grave coiled around me; the snares of death confronted me.” — Psalms 18:5

When you are a victim of death’s traps—that is, when you fall into the nets of death—the terrors of death seize you, and you begin to experience morbid anxiety, which varies depending on the targeted person.

7) The Terrors of Death

“My heart is in anguish within me; the terrors of death have fallen on me.” — Psalms 55:4

When the terrors of death take over a targeted person, they often experience a repeated sense of dread, an inexplicable fear that grips and overwhelms them. The idea of death obsesses them; their mind is bombarded with morbid thoughts, which increasingly affect their dreams and pollute their nights.

At this stage, the enemy attacking—the occult hunter or witchcraft agent—through intensified oppression causes the victim to emit a scent of death. This scent serves to guide the spirit of death in locating them through the spiritual trace of death they give off. This is why fasting, prayer, and meditation are so vital: they allow you to rid yourself of the dust of death and chase away the odor of death to drive away the executioner who might follow it.

Note: Death is an enemy that was not part of God’s original plan. God our Father created us to live eternally. Death is the result of man’s disobedience, not God’s decision.

“To the one who is perishing, we are an aroma that brings death…” — 2 Corinthians 2:16
