THE PRAYER OF AGREEMENT
It is written in Matthew 18:19: “Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.” And the Living Bible version, more expressive, states: “I also tell you this: if two of you agree down here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you.“
God’s message is clear and suffers no ambiguity.
Firstly, there must be at least two people in this particular relationship with the Father. Secondly, these two people must agree together to ask something from God. Beloved, this prayer cannot be done by one person alone; you must be at least two to present a request to the providing God.
Not realizing this spiritual law of the kingdom until the day the Spirit of God revealed it to me, I wasted seven (07) long years in fruitless prayers. Indeed, for years, I did not want to pray with my wife because I thought she was not impactful enough in prayer and could not endure for long. Once I understood the principle, I accepted my wife as a prayer partner, and immediately God answered requests for which I had not been granted before because I prayed alone.
The Word of God teaches us that Jesus himself loved to pray alongside three (03) of his disciples, namely James, John, and Peter. Jesus chose these individuals with whom he had established a prayer partnership, individuals he trusted.
It is important that we have prayer partners with whom we share prayer topics, and vice versa. Such an attitude, however, implies a minimum level of trust.
Therefore, we must choose partners with whom there is a certain level of trust, people with whom we can share values of ethics and integrity, and consequently, secrets. Know, beloved, that it is necessary to pray in partnership, with a unified spirit, and thus touch the heart of God for His approval.
Note, however, that Satan prowls and will try to ensure that we do not have reliable partners. That’s why we must remain vigilant and watch over our relationships with others. Beloved, have prayer partners and take pleasure in agreeing to present your requests to God.
