The South Wind or Midday Wind
The third wind we will explore together is the one from the South. It is this wind that brings provision into our lives. Why does God tell us in His word not to worry? It’s because we are not like other people; He is our heavenly Father. Therefore, when we call upon Him, asking for the wind from the South, it brings fulfillment, blessing, and abundant life.
In John 10:10, it is written, “The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.“
Despite this affirmation in God’s word, in practical life, out of a hundred Christians, only five truly experience the abundance spoken of in God’s word. This is evidence that the other ninety-five do not know how the four winds can operate in their lives. The wind that brings the most benefits to the Church is the South Wind. If this wind blows over your business, it will become a reference point; if it blows over your home, people will come to you for advice.
In Acts 28:13, we have an experience of the South Wind, also known as the Midday Wind:
“From there, we went along the coast and arrived at Rhegium. The next day the south wind came up, and in two days we reached Puteoli.“
Through this account, we see that Paul and those with him spent three months at sea without being able to reach Rome. However, when the South Wind became active, they arrived in Rome in just two days. Despite fasting for fourteen days at sea, the situation did not change. Yet, Paul knew that if the South Wind started blowing, their prayers would be answered.
The struggles you have faced in your life, the fasts you have undertaken, God has seen them all. But you should also have the revelation to say to the South Wind:
“I have fought all the battles; now I want you to rise in my life to bring abundance.“
That’s when this wind will come to help you move forward rapidly because it accelerates fulfillment. This is supported by Psalms 78:26-29, where we read:
“He caused the east wind to blow in the heavens and led forth the south wind by His power. He rained meat on them like dust, birds like the sand of the seas. He let them fall in the midst of their camp, all around their dwellings. So they ate and were well filled, for He gave them what they craved.“
When the people of Israel came out of Egypt, they desired meat because they had been eating only manna falling from the sky. Then, God commanded the South Wind, which rained meat on them like dust. Birds as numerous as the sand of the seas fell from the sky. The The South Wind or Midday Wind brings abundance, allowing you to become rich.
Since you have known Christ, you may be experiencing blessings you received through your own struggles and hard work. And the Lord God would like to tell you this: “Can’t you speak to the South Wind so that its blessing rains on you like dust, like sand?“
May God indeed multiply blessings on you like the sand by the seashore. Only the South Wind has this capability, and I encourage you to use it. It is available to us, but you must command it to come to your aid.
It is the one capable of changing men’s lives; it is the one that lifts a person from the dungheap and allows them to sit with the greats; it is the one that will ensure you lend to others without ever borrowing.
As you examine your life, if the South Wind has not yet come, if that is what you lack, then I urge you to pray, invoking the South Wind. You must understand God’s principles. May the South Wind bring all kinds of wealth and blessings upon you!
