To outwit traps means to thwart the maneuvers, devices, pitfalls, and snares set by the enemy with the intent to make us fall and ultimately kill us prematurely. Here, it is about counteracting a machination, a planned conspiracy aimed at destroying us before our time.

Premature Death

Premature death can be defined as an early, abrupt death that occurs too soon—quickly and before the initially planned lifespan of a thing or a person. The Lord says in Genesis 6:3 (LSG version):

“My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.“

“The days of our years are seventy years; and if by reason of strength they are eighty years.“ Psalm 90:10

Thus, considering these two biblical references, any person living outside of what God has planned in His word—meaning living less than the age range of 80 to 120 years—will have lived prematurely and would not have died according to the Creator’s appointed time. We can say it is a death that occurred before the divine term and whose causes are far from natural.

Today, premature death can be caused by various factors, which may include:

• Physical, material, or human causes;
• Spiritual causes beyond any logical or rational explanation…
