The Typologies of Witchcraft.
- White Witchcraft
In the past, this witchcraft aimed to protect its holder and their belongings against enemies. But nowadays, it serves not only for protection but also for attack, sometimes even killing, with authorization from the leader of the brotherhood. This witchcraft essentially protects the one who has received it. The possessor of this form of witchcraft can attend sorcerer meetings and meals as a mere observer. However, they are not entitled to meals. Similarly, they are not authorized to kill all categories of people. They can only kill their enemies and those who wish them harm. But the college of sorcerers, for one reason or another, may ask them to offer a victim.
This is how the members of the brotherhood ensure that the holder of white witchcraft is always in communion with them. In this case, they are obliged to comply under penalty of death. The one with “white witchcraft” must always go through another sorcerer authorized to kill. In other words, through a sorcerer who possesses either the great witchcraft or the small witchcraft!? That is why some say, “I only have white witchcraft. I do not kill.” But it is very misleading to express oneself like this! All witchcraft kills, but according to well-established rules by the sorcerers’ brotherhood.
- Great Witchcraft
Great witchcraft includes several subdivisions. We can then distinguish:
* The “kennensi“: This is a form of witchcraft used to defend against supposed enemies or to harm them periodically. This witchcraft operates at fixed intervals, annually, for example. The “kennensi” appears in the form of a fetish made from certain leaves, as well as parts of the human body. It is watered and fed once a week with red oil and the blood of an animal (rooster, goat, etc.). Initially about 40 cm tall, this fetish, if well maintained with regular watering of animal blood, red oil…, can grow to reach 1 to 2 meters in height.
* “The akpaso” is a form of witchcraft used by enthusiasts of sorcery powers to “pierce” pregnancies and induce abortions in pregnant women.
* The “Azé Cancer” is a form of cancer that proves there are cancers of sorcery origin. Those who contract this type of cancer die without being able to detect its origin. Here is an example that reports a case of Azé-cancer. In the years 1990-1991, in Akpakpa-Dodomey 8, many children were dying. But each time before passing away, they revealed that their death had been caused by a lady well known to the neighborhood. One day, a child writhing in pain before passing away, had once again shouted the name of the same lady.
Her children, her own children, then decided to finish her off with blows from a club. That is how a son had the idea to take her to Father Gilbert DAGNON, then Priest of the Notre-Dame de Miséricorde Cathedral in Cotonou. He then asked me, as his Vicar, to pray over this lady. The prayer session took place in the cenacle. While praying over her, there was no sign of demonic presence. But a mystic, present at this prayer session, fell into ecstasy and pointed to another lady who was beside the one believed to be possessed. In fact, the one pointed out by the mystic was actually the true witch, the one who always appeared as the first one to harm people. During the prayer, she vomited a calabash.
She herself confessed that the content of this calabash was the “Azé-cancer”, the very one that kills by causing cancer on the body of a healthy individual. By burning such a calabash, anyone inhaling the smoke would automatically become a victim of cancer. Six months after being dispossessed of this “Azé-cancer”, our lady died.
* The Mammy water: Formerly, it was classified among minor witchcraft. Today, it lacks nothing of the harmful capacity of great witchcraft. That is why it should be considered as part of great witchcraft. This “water demon” now acts in several forms. I would therefore like to discuss here some examples of the new action formula of the water demon, Mammy water.
1st case: the high school student of a school in Cotonou On Wednesday, May 23, 2007, after my exorcism sessions, I received a 17-year-old girl, a second-year student in a public school, who came to talk to me about her classmate who had…
