Today, we delve into “The war against the enemies of your harvest.” War is an organized armed conflict between two opposing forces. It is also a serious and ongoing campaign against certain ills of the country or society. Harvest, on the other hand, is the process of gathering ripe crops or agricultural produce from a farmer. The harvest can also be considered a period of reaping all the sweat and efforts a person dedicates to an endeavor.

In our scripture from Judges 6:1-8 today, it was always during the harvest that raiders would come to plunder the children of Israel. In fact, they had to contend with about three groups. They work but cannot enjoy the reward of their labor. Enemies will come like locusts and take away everything they’ve toiled for. When you have an enemy devouring your harvest, it shows that the enemy has no good intentions for you. Verse 6 of our scripture says, “And Israel was brought very low because of Midian.“

Who are the enemies of the harvest? They are the powers that want you to work but not enjoy the fruits of your labor. They are forces that love to harvest where they haven’t sown. They are powers that detest your joy and celebration with perfect hatred. They are powers that delight in seeing you suffer. A woman had significant children abroad: doctors, lawyers, etc.

However, as her sister’s husband abandoned her and disappeared, this woman started assisting her sister with rent, school fees, and the rest. A few years later, all her children no longer communicated with her; they changed their contact and she couldn’t reach them. She was in this situation for nine years before God intervened.

Beloved, you must be aggressive and wage war against spiritual powers attacking and destroying people’s harvests, just as the Midianites forcibly and unjustly seized the Israelites’ harvests. You must not let the rod of the wicked and harvest wasters rest on your destiny. Rise up and drive them out of your life. I pray the Lord helps you, in the name of Jesus.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Hostile friends in the garden of my life, be exposed and disgraced, in the name of Jesus.
2. Every secret and public enemy, die, in the name of Jesus.
3. Divine Holy Spirit, make me sensitive to everything around me, in the name of Jesus.
4. Every power attacking my day of joy, die, in the name of Jesus.
5. Powers standing between me and my higher level, fall and die, in the name of Jesus.
6. Destiny helpers, manifest and assist me, in the name of Jesus.
7. Powers that want me to work but not eat, you are liars, die, in the name of Jesus.
