Think Spiritually, Not Carnally.
There are Christians who do not think spiritually but remain constantly fixated on carnal thoughts. They focus solely on their money, fame, position, and human connections; they are always preoccupied with how others perceive them.
T.L. Osborn once said that those who are concerned about what others think of them are slaves to the last person they spoke to. How true this is! Such individuals are burdened with the desire to please others. Do not exhaust yourself trying to please people; instead, seek to please the Lord.
Don’t Worry About Anything.
In everything, through prayer, supplication, and thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Simply tell Him what you want. He is big enough, and He knows everything about your life and your future. When this mindset becomes yours, you’ll understand there is no need to worry about anything. Glory to God!
A Spiritual Principle with a Certain Outcome
There is something I’d like to point out about the admonition in Philippians 4:6-7: it comes with a promise:
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.“
It says that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and your mind. This is a spiritual principle with a guaranteed result every time it is applied.
Understand that just as there are physical laws of gravity, electricity, mechanics, magnetism, and others, there are also spiritual laws. And when you understand these spiritual laws and put them into practice, they produce results, just like physical laws do.
The principle here is that when you worry about nothing but instead present your requests to God through prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, the result is the peace of God, which will guard your heart and your mind.
The Word of God: God’s Wisdom
The Word of God is the wisdom of God; it is His thought expressed in vocabulary. When you learn to think God’s thoughts by meditating on His Word, you reach a level where you live the supernatural life effortlessly. Now you can understand why Jesus told us, “Do not worry about anything.”
The reason is that regardless of the situation, there are spiritual laws designed to elevate you above it. Even when challenges arise and you feel mentally pressured, say, “No, I refuse to worry or be anxious in the Name of Jesus! I declare and confess that I am a success. Glory to God!”
A heart and mind filled with peace and free from all anxiety is one of the great benefits of managing your thoughts, as revealed by God’s Word.
