We win our battle by recognizing that it has already been fought and won by Jesus, and by accepting what He has accomplished for us.
We do not pray for it, we do not fight for it. We simply lift our eyes and say, “Father, the battle has been won.”

In the fight of faith, it is God who has done everything. He defeated Satan and destroyed the power of sin. He bore our diseases, and we only have to give Him thanks and enjoy divine health.

We stand firm in evil days when temptations rise like a flood, having girded our loins with this Truth or Reality.
We have come to know the reality of Christ’s finished work. We have put on the breastplate of righteousness—that is, we practice it, use it, and confess it.

We know that we are the righteousness of God in Him. That is an established fact.
We know our identity and our position in Him.
We know that this righteousness allows us to come into the presence of the Father without guilt or a sense of inferiority.
We put on the shoes of the Gospel of peace.
We can now go through the world to proclaim to it the message of love and peace.

We can bring people the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We have the shield of faith that resists all the flaming darts of the evil one…

This text is an excerpt from the book A New Kind of Christianity written by Essek William Kenyon.
