The Bible teaches us that one day King Solomon made a very great offering to God. God felt so honored by Solomon that He decided to bless him in return. God then asked Solomon what he desired, and Solomon replied that he wanted wisdom to better lead the people. The Bible says that God decided to give him wisdom, intelligence, riches, and abundant glory.

Behold, I have done according to your words; I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has been none like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you. I have also given you what you have not asked, both riches and honor, so that there shall not be any among the kings like you all your days.” 1 Kings 3:12-13

If we want to become disciples of Jesus, we must bear much fruit. The Christian who does not bear much fruit is not recognized by Jesus as His disciple.

By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.” John 15:8

Prayer for Bearing Much Fruit

Father of glory, I thank You that You hear prayers and answer them. I pray for the grace to bear much fruit. You said in Your word that it is when we bear much fruit that the Father is glorified, that we will be disciples. I want the Father to be glorified, and I want to be a true disciple of Jesus Christ.

Help me to adjust so that I begin to bear much fruit for Your glory alone. Thank you because You have heard my prayer and answered me.

In the name of Jesus, Amen…
