“I tell you again that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.” Matthew 18:19

There is power in prayer, there is power in agreement. When we connect with others and with God, miracles happen.

“Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up. Furthermore, if two lie down together, they keep warm, but how can one be warm alone? And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart.” Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Marriage is an age-old institution established by God Himself. It is designed to be a fruitful, happy, and fulfilling relationship that lasts a lifetime. However, like anything that brings glory to God, the devil attacks the institution of marriage and the people living in it with unimaginable fury. This is especially true for Christian marriages. Today, on a global scale, the number of divorces is alarming.

Stable marriages will help produce more and more Spirit-filled believers, vessels of honor, and weapons of warfare for God. The truth is, the more righteous people there are on earth, the more Satan’s kingdom is depopulated. This explains why Satan attacks Christian marriages and homes. However, we must note that our omniscient God, who knows the end from the beginning, has foreseen and provided for this. The power and authority that Jesus has delegated to us position us to overcome Satan and his armies whenever they try to sow terror in any area of our lives.

Therefore, when the enemy begins to shoot his arrows against your marriage or home, all you have to do is put on your full armor of a believer and confront it. The Word of God is the sword of the Spirit and is exceptionally effective in spiritual warfare. The Bible also assures that the prayers of righteous believers are powerful, fervent, and prodigious.

Beloved, make sure to build your marriage on the word of God and make Him the Lord of your home, family, and affairs. Also, ensure there is love and harmony between you and your spouse. Then, always pray together in agreement. These kingdom principles will build divine walls around your marriage and strengthen you and your spouse against the enemy’s attacks.

Truly, the power of a praying couple is unimaginable. The Bible says that two are better than one (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12). It is also said that one will chase a thousand, and two will put ten thousand to flight (Deuteronomy 32:20). If two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven (Matthew 18:19). The preceding scriptures are divine affirmations that praying with your spouse will bring great blessings and testimonies to you and your marriage.

I decree that the power of God will uphold you and your spouse, keeping you together and making you stronger, in the name of Jesus.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Father, make me and my spouse eagles of prayer, in the name of Jesus.
2. The anointing to pray and provoke divine intervention comes upon me and my spouse, in the name of Jesus.
3. Spirit of spiritual slumber, come out of me, in the name of Jesus.
4. Every open door to the enemy in my marriage, I close you now, in the name of Jesus.
5. I overcome the spirit of prayerlessness by the power of the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
6. Spirit of prayerlessness, come out of me and my spouse, in the name of Jesus.
7. Gates of exceptional favor and pleasant surprises, open for me and my spouse, in the name of Jesus.
